or wedding reception, we’ve got an option for you!

This function pack will provide you with all you need to know regarding your choice of function area, catering and drink options at The George. We also have a bunch of extras we can organise for you or get you in contact with to ensure that your occassion will be one to remember. If you have any further enquiries please do not hesistate to contact our functions coordinator Lorraine on (02) 49333222.

1. Traditional Function roomLocated off our Bistro. Beautifully decorated and completely private. Perfect for a sit down function of 50 to 60 people and private corporate events.

2. Bistro CourtyardRomantically set with your

courtyard gives you the option to have an open air or fully enclosed function. Perfect for functions of 50 to 60 people. Located at the back of the pub, it is great for privacy and intimacy.

3. Lounge Function AreaGreat for large functions (minimum 60) and for proximity to the bar. This is also a suitable area if you want a band or DJ.

4. Lounge Function Area plus Lounge DeckThe Lounge area also has the option to expand onto the lounge deck for functions of over 80. This area can take up to 120 people and has exclusive access to our lounge area and bathrooms. Interested in just the deck? Please speak to our functions coordinator Lorraine.

Responsible ServiceIn accordance with liquor licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol policies, The George Tavern reserves the right to refuse service and cease the supply of alcoholic beverages to any patron who displays the signs of intoxication. Persons under the age of eighteen (18) years are not permitted to consume alcohol and must be in the immediate presence of their parent or legal guardian at all times. Due to the strict regulations of responsible service of alcohol, The George Tavern does not permit 18th birthday parties on the premises.

Decorations, Theming & Audio-Visual EquipmentThe George permits clients to bring their own decorations, theming and audiovisual equipment onsite. Please note that any audiovisual equipment is to be discussed and approved by Management at least seven (7) days prior to your function. Given their extremely messy nature, confetti, scatters, party poppers and blu-tac are not permitted. Any decorations left onsite will be discarded unless arrangements are made prior to the events. Should excessive cleaning be required, additional charges may apply.
