2*x + 2(-3) = 4x + 10

2x – 6 = 4x +10 Combine like terms

-2x = -2x

-6 = 2x + 10 Combine numbers

-10 = -10

-16 = 2x Solve for x

4. What value of x satisfies the equation 2(x-3) = 4x + 10?

5. Kerry scores 15 points in the first game, 22 in the second game, 8 in the third, and 17 in the fourth game. In the 5th game, he was shut down for 0. What is his scoring average after 5 games?

Find average by adding numbers then dividing by the amount of numbers.

15 + 22 + 8 + 17 + 0 = 62 = 12.4 pts/game
