INTERNATIONAL PARTNER BÜRO S.R.L. was established on 23 March 2007 and specializes in

Geodesy, Surveying Engineering, UAV Photogrammetry and 3D Laser Scanning.

International Partner Buro S.R.L. is an innovative, serious company, offering a wide range of

topographic and geodetic services, encompassing a large and varied market.

We are one of the most representative companies when it comes to 3D laser scanning and surveying

services in Romania.

The focus is always on quality, which to us is the sum of several factors such as:

Professional training of our engineers.

Through training and refresher courses on new technologies and software solutions appeared on the

market and deployed in our company we are always in front of the competition.

Punctuality is what we are when the project’s deadline arrives. We are always trying to improve the

efficiency of the methods used in a project. This manifests as lower costs for our customers.

Accuracy refers to the survey instruments that we use in the measurements included in projects and

to the work of maintaining them in the correct parameters. We always perform regular checks on the

instruments that we have.

I participate with employees from the management team at international exhibitions like INTERGEO in

order to obtain innovative information that we could apply to projects we have in progress and to

future ones.

We also have our own methods of research and testing that have resulted in improved accuracies

and lower execution time.

International Partner Buro SRL is a friendly, customer-oriented company which adds quality to all

projects in which we are involved.

International Partner Buro is the office (Buro) in which you will find the ideal partner (Partner) to

perform quality topographic works not only in Romania, but also internationally.

We are committed to building companies, multinational corporations throughout the world, but also to

the state institutions and governments that need our specialists.

GIS DEFINITION

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEGEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMM

GIS is an acronym derived from Geographic Information System. This system is used

to create, store, analyze and process information through a computerized process. GIS technology

can be used in various scientific fields as resource management, environmental impact studies,

cartography.

GIS COMPONENTSGIS COMPONENTS

GIS is a system comprised of a suite of computers and software that help finding

answers about the environment and more.

WHAT IS GIS?

An overview of what a GIS is, can be extracted with these questions:

 WHAT IS AT ... ?WHAT IS AT ... ?Locating a specific feature.

A location can be described in several ways. For instance what does a region

contain, which are the geographical coordinates of a point, etc.

 WHERE IS WHERE IS …… FOUND ?FOUND ?Expression of conditions.

More specifically in place of identifying what is at a given location, we want to know

what locations satisfy certain conditions. For example where there was a deforested area greater

than 1 sq. km.

 WHAT HAS CHANGED AT WHAT HAS CHANGED AT …… ??Evolution.

Determine variations in time. Such as daily precipitation amounts falling on a surface

in a year.

 WHAT IF WHAT IF …… ??Prediction.

For example, the environmental impact determined by adding a road to the existing

network.

GIS products have a wide range of applications in various fields. Virtually everything

about the territory is more or less under the incidence of GIS.

SCOPE

 UTILITIESUTILITIESApplications in this category are part of what is known as Automated Mapping And Facilities

Management.

It is basically the management of water, gas, electricity distribution, telecommunications, etc.

These applications require highly accurate maps and vector models dominate the field. Here we

also include for example location for the cellular phone system broadcasting stations. This type

of application are strongly influenced by the land configuration, so raster models tend to

predominate.

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMGEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM

SCOPE

 ENVIRONMENTENVIRONMENTIn their initial version, GIS products are used for inventory of territories affected by pollution

(water, soil, settlements).

At a higher level, studies can be made for erosion, landslides, impact studies, water quality

studies (which can than be correlated with various specific software).

SCOPE

 SPATIAL PLANNINGSPATIAL PLANNINGLocal or County Councils can receive input from GIS in order to monitor the land, urban,

municipal, county, regional and interregional development. As an example we mention the study

of the location of an apartment building in conjunction with data from utilities (gas and water

pipeline maps, information regarding their sizing and thus the possibility to control the

transportation along them).

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMGEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM

SCOPE

 AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRYAGRICULTURE AND FORESTRYSoil inventorying along with data attribute related to soil type, quality, use. Monitoring agricultural

land in order to obtain maximum production, forest inventory, for national parks. Study for the

placement opportunity of an exploitation of timber and wood processing factories. Studies of the

national forest heritage may also be needed.

GIS projects in these fields are coupled with image acquisition using UAVs.

SCOPE

 NATURAL RESOURCESNATURAL RESOURCESIn recent years, the investments in projects that lead to detection of natural resources (minerals,

oil, gas, water) have increased, thanks to GIS products.

This activity is also doubled by the activity of imagery acquisition using UAV technology.

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMGEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM

SCOPE

 TRANSPORTATIONTRANSPORTATIONGIS has considerable potential in the management and optimization of urban and regional

transport (optimal routes for buses, trams, trains), and also in determining the optimal number of

vehicles per time period. Here we include the choice of optimal routes for intervention vehicles.

SCOPE

 DEMOGRAPHICSDEMOGRAPHICSDatabases concerning the population by age, religion, profession, education, health, associated

with administrative maps at communal level can lead to different maps illustrating the territorial

distribution of various types of information. The result would be a choropleth or orthopleth map.

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMGEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM

SCOPE

BUILDING INFORMATION MODELS (BIM)BUILDING INFORMATION MODELS (BIM)

Using 3D point clouds resulted from laser scanning and conventional surveying methods,

combined with the latest techniques for surface and edge recognition, can deliver standard 2D

plans, elevations, sections and 3D models:

Solid models;

Photo models;

Surface models;

BIM for Revit deliverable;

BIM professional model has a great advantage in that stakeholders can work directly in the BIM

environment without the need for 2D building plans, or their conversion in 3D format.

BIM benefits:

Minimize risk by reducing production stages;

Reducing of production time;

Save time and costs by updating Revit 2D data;

Precise data;

SCOPE

 MANAGEMENT OF REAL ESTATEMANAGEMENT OF REAL ESTATEInvolves inventorying and maintaining spatial and attribute data of all lands. Once made, a

cadastral information system, data maintenance is easier. Also, information acquisition is

facilitated.

Large scale GIS projects are aimed at obtaining information for the decision making stage.

Modeling and simulation are the core concepts in spatial analysis.

SUPPORT DATA

SUPPORT DATASUPPORT DATA Raster dataAre two-dimensional matrix structures, whose elements are color values. These can be scanned

site plans, mosaics, DEMs, DSMs, DTMs, thematic maps.

 Vector dataAre representations of geometric primitives: points, lines, polygons, which have the advantage that

can store textual information as an attribute.

 Attribute dataTextual data that is entered into the database. In this format can be stored all kind of information:

equipment's location, access road in the area, other networks traversing the region, factors specific

to local landscape.

DATA SOURCESDATA SOURCESThe data used in a GIS come from a variety of sources, both analog and digital:

Catalogs;

Attribute tables;

Files;

Lists of data resulted from processing existing cartographic databases;

Site plans;

Special maps;

Electronic journals from total stations and other equipment used;

Photogrammetric and remote sensing records via UAV technology;
