promotes a humane and generous European asylum policy.” Asylum Aid: http://www.asylumaid.org.uk/ Website of an NGO which is working to “secure protection for people seeking refuge in the

United Kingdom from persecution and human rights abuses abroad”. Global Internally-Displaced People project: http://www.idpproject.org/ “The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC), established in 1998 by the

Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), is the leading international body monitoring conflict-induced internal displacement worldwide.” Internal displacement describes the forced movement of people within their home country. These are refugees who do not leave their home country, but have been forced to leave their homes.
