Situation Longstone Moor Farm lies above Great Longstone and has best access from the A623, Stoney Middleton to Manchester main road. From Stoney Middleton and Chesterfield continue on the A623 towards Manchester and Wardlow and approximately 1 mile after leaving Stoney Middleton take the left hand turn. Continue for ! of a mile and take the second left tarmac road (do not take the lane to Cavendish Mill). Continue up the hill and bear right on the tarmac road and after half a mile travel over the cattle grid. Longstone Moor Farm lies on the left after approximately 400 yards. From the B6465 Ashford in the Water to Wardlow Road at the top of Wardlow pick up the signs for Foolow and Stoney Middleton and travel down the lane round the bends for approximately one and a half miles. Take the first right tarmac lane and continue up over the hill bearing right and over the cattle grid after approximately half a mile. Longstone Moor Farm lies on the left after approximately 400 yards. ‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale. The very genuine dispersal sale at Longstone Moor Farm arises as a result of the retirement of Miss Linda Wood and the Wood family have farmed on the holding since 1943. Until recently the holding ran a very successful suckler cow and sheep enterprise with a wide range of kit to allow easy working. The Kawasaki Mule PRO DX is in superb order and was purchased new in April 2018 and is fully dealer serviced. Linda’s favourite machine, her Land Rover, has been on the holding since new and is in good order. Perusal of the catalogue will also show a large genuine special entry on behalf of Mr Richard Setchfield and many locals will know that the Staveley Branch of this dealership has recently been sold by Bagshaws with all the remaining items from that branch now included in the sale at Longstone Moor for genuine dispersal. Within the Setchfield entry there is a new Henton HBA-10 ten ton twin axle flat trailer together with Ifor Williams transport trailer and 2 JCB Telehandlers.
