Genres for my photo shoot.Rock, Rap, Indie & Classical

Rock

Final 3 Photos taken:

we will be using a picture, like this one shown, however the guitars will be flipped, so that the guitar tuning keys will be almost touching. The 2 posers will be stood without mic's,

facing the camera with a serious face. The props needed for this will be 2

guitars.

This is the only picture of this pose i could find, however it demonstrates the pose we will be using in the rock photoshoot. The two posers will be stood back to back with the guitars visible from the side and rock faces on. The props needed for this will be 2 guitars again for each poser.

our pose in the third photo will be similar to this, however the chair will not be present, but the two posers will still be facing each other with angry faces. The props needed for this photoshoot will be one guitar.

Rap

for these three photos, I wanted to make the rappers arms out so it was as if he was saying ‘And what?’ the commonly used phrase by these rappers. for the second

photo, i wanted to make the reader intimidated by the rapper because the rappers face was unseen and makes the reader scared. in the third photo, i was going to

represent the rapper as ‘cool and swag’ by using the latest expensive headphones that many people cannot afford.

Final 3 Photos:

Indie

In these photos, i have tried to capture the artists faces more than others. In the first, i have used a previous photo on a magazine because it is professional and

relates to my genre. In the second and third photo, i have chosen 2 duo photos with a black and white filter. This is a good photo for a front cover because the artists’

facial expressions are enhanced because of no colour.

Final 3 Photos:

Classical

In the Classical photo shoot, i wanted to get a range of different shots at different levels. For example, i will use a chair for the positioning in the first shot, making the

artist look calm and at ease. I will then take a picture of the artist conducting in action to engage the reader. for the last photo, i would like to get a picture like this one (third right) of the artist staring off into the distance, creating dramatic interest

with the reader.

Final 3 Photos:

OverviewFor all but one of the photos we took, The lighting in the room was unfortunately out at the time. Because of this, we were unable to

use a dark blue filter on the rap genre photos, and a light green filter on the Indie genre

photos. If we were to redo the photo shoot, i would like to include some more props in the

indie genre photos such as a head band because the photos looked a bit plain. Aside

from this, i think that we captured the minimalistic look of the classical genre, the mysterious and dangerous look of the rap genre, and the dark metal rock genre well.
