User-sensitive?

If a record type is user-sensitive or not is determined by the administrator.

You can recognize user-sensitive record types by the participant button.

Record types, that are not user-sensitive, are always "public".

Members with full rights of a group: : see each other in the participant list of the user-

sensitive records, and

Group Membership

You can deactivate the access rights based on a group membership. This function is only available if the administrator has given you the necessary rights:

can be assigned to every existing user in CAS genesisWorld.

Note: Changes made take effect after restarting the client to which you assigned external access.

You can assign external access only if the administrator has given you the necessary rights:

External access can be assigned to all users in CAS genesisWorld and for each single record type.

Owner rights are always valid for only one record.

External access and owner rights together determine the access right for a single record.

In the participant selection of a record external access can be determined for all users, who have external access to your data. This change is only valid for this record.

Putting it all Together


On the Record I

Result for User2 = Full rights

Owner right = Full rights


On the Record II

Result for User2 = Read only

Owner right = Read only

External access = Full rights


Example

User1 has granted external access with full rights to User2 and User3.

User1 creates a data record, selects User2 as a participant and assigns him the permission read only.

User2 now is only able to read this record.

User3 can access the record with full rights.

Private records can only be accessed by users, who are participants of the record.

Confidential records can be accessed by
