QUALIFICATIONS

• Active in group, intergroup, or other service work.

• Knowledge of the 12 steps

• Two years of continuous sobriety

• Confidence of the group

• Time to attend district and area meetings.

AREA VS. DISTRICT• Area 67 is made up of 18 districts - 4 of

which are Spanish Linguistic.

• There are 4 areas in the state of Texas.

• A GSR is expected to attend area and district meetings.

• District meeting are held monthly

• Area meetings are held quarterly

District Meeting

• Meeting are held once a month.

• DCM – District Committee Member

• Secretary – Responsible for minutes and record keeping

• Treasurer

• Standing Committee’s – CFC, TFC, PI, CPC, GV, Archives, SCAP

• GSR’s from the district.

Area Assembly

• Meetings are held quarterly

• Representatives come from all districts to participate and vote on area business.

• Meeting is conducted by area committee members, Chair, Co-chair, Secretary, Treasurer

• Opportunity to Fellowship with others in the Area and learn what others are up to in AA.

DUTIES

• Knowledgeable about material from GSO.

• Learn everything they can about 12 Traditions & Concepts.

• Attend District meetings.

• Attend area Assemblies

• Work with group treasurer following the 7th Tradition to support 4 service entities: Group, District, GSO & intergoup/central office.

• Help with planning for area get-togethers and conventions.
