Founded in 1980, Elimsan is a Pioneer in Switchgear Industry in Turkey. Since its foundation Elimsan has grown steadily and has become to one of the largest manufacturers in Switchgear Industry not only within its local market, Turkey but also within a large region covering Middle East, Near East and East Europe It is an extraordinary plant, manufacturing MV Switchgear (Air and Gas Insulated , Metal Enclosed and Metal Clad), MV & HV Disconnectors, MV Instrumentation Transformers with also owing advanced pre-production facilities for Metal processing of Aluminum, Galvanized Sheet, Copper and Brass.
Elimsan is owned 94,39% by SCC (Saudi Cable Company) Group, which is a public company headquartered in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this plant, all manufacturing and assembly has been done with precision and all product are tested under 3 different MV & HV laboratories, which are internationally accredited. Elimsan also has two accreditation certificates from Turkish Accreditation Agency, which are TS EN ISO/IEC 17020 Inspection Laboratory and TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 Test Laboratory.
Superior product quality of Elimsan is a result of not only first-class manufacturing but also of a Total Quality concept supported by ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001. SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Control and Motivation) model is used in each and every part of the plant. Elimsan began its journey on September 1, 1980 at a 15 square meters workshop in Sakarya with producing “Minimum Oil Circuit Breaker”.
April 2, 1986 was the date when Elimsan moved to the technology base in Kocaeli that has 550.000 square meters production area; of which
50.000 square meters are indoor space and planted 50.000 trees to create an environmental friendly work place.
Elimsan received trademark registration on October 3, 1980 and focused on Research & Development efforts. When the first 36 kV SF6 Gas-
Blast Circuit Breaker was produced, it became a milestone for both Turkey’s sector background and for Elimsan. This product is certified after
successfully completing KEMA Laboratory tests on IEC standards.
Rapidly expanding its product range, Elimsan started to produce High Voltage Disconnector on May 3, 1994. Elimsan Metallurgy Factory was
established on April 1, 1995.
On July 14, 2003, Elimsan was qualified with TSE Quality System Certificate and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standards after
successfully completing all regulations. Always pioneering technology, Elimsan designed the first Metal Enclosed Switchgear of Turkey on
July 23, 2001. This product was certified after successful tests at CESI Laboratories on IEC standards and then mass production started.
As to increase mass production capacity, Production Facility of High Voltage Products, of whose foundations were laid two years ago with
5097 square meters of indoor space was opened. In 2008 Saudi Cable Group Company which is one of the leading medium and high voltage
cable producers in the Middle East and Turkey acquired the shares of Elimsan. This strengthened Elimsan’s position in the global market.
Elimsan increased its mass production capacity even more after opening Air Insulated Metal Enclosed Switchgear Facility on August 9 2011.
Gaining more power in global markets, Elimsan started to produce Gas Insulated Switchgears on March 16 2012. Throughout its successful
history, many statesmen, scientists, politicians and boards of leading companies visited Elimsan.
One of the significant milestones in Elimsan’s technologic journey was Metal Clad Switchgears that were produced for Qatar’s General
Electric and Water Distribution Company (KAHRAMAA). These products have the hardest specifications worldwide and were certified after
successfully completing all type tests with all OEM’s at KEMA and CESI Laboratories on IEC and ANSI standards. Elimsan globally proved its
successful R&D design efforts of expert engineers as well as the high quality of products.

R&D DepartmentElimsan draws its innovation strength from research and development. Throughout its history
of 35 years, by emphasizing R&D, Elimsan has succeeded to be a developer of technology; not a
follower. Turkey’s first 36 kV SF6 gas-blast circuit breaker, vacuumed circuit breaker, metal enclosed
switchgear and 24 kV SF6 gas insulated load breaker was produced by Elimsan. Rivaling only
with itself on continuos improvement efforts, Elimsan constantly increases its product quality by
combining right materials with right products and as a result can produce reliable and durable
technologies with lower costs.
Design OfficeThrough customer oriented approach, Elimsan provides the needs of its customers flawlessly with
custom designs for each requested specification. Elimsan reflects its experience to all products via
its technology and expert engineer infrastructure. It designed products with toughest technical

PRODUCTION AREA
Elimsan develops custom solutions by producing specially designed products and hardwares for each project. There are a total of seven production lines which are for Metal Enclosed Switchgears, Metal Clad Switchgears, GIS, HV Disconnectors, Transformers and for Kiosks on 550.000 square meters area of which 50.000 is indoor space. Combining total quality concept with SQDCM ( safety, quality, delivery, control and motivation) approach, Elimsan also has ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 Certificates.

A superior feature of the SF6 Gas Insulated Switch Disconnector is that the earthing switch inside the disconnector has a turn off feature in case of a short circuit. Plus, as to guarantee perfect sit, the “spring weighed” system is capable of providing operational safety. Disconnector’s SF6 gas filled part can endure temporary high pressures which may occur while running and all the devices have a sealed pressure system that won’t need a gas boost for its 20 years of working life.
