GENERAL HOSPITAL AND HEALTH CENTERS FOR CABINDA

"To establish a network of reliable and efficient health service to all Cabinda Citizens, we

propose the construction of a Major Hospital in Cabinda City and 3 Heath Centres in

Landana, Buco Zau and Dinge both the hospital and the health centres will be inclusive

and be able to provide a dental treatment has part of their services.

Proposal plan of the basic requirements of the main hospital unit at Cabinda

city:

• Outpatient’s treatment Areas – 64 Consulting rooms, including ophthalmology,

dermatology and minor treatment rooms.

• Public Areas – 2 Cafes, 5 reception desks, 5 waiting areas and shops.

• Diagnostics Rooms – Medical imaging, including X-ray, MRI Scanners,

phlebotomy, minor treatment, endoscopy and biopsy.

• 20 Wards – Everything from medical, surgical and recovery wards to maternity,

single, private en-suite wards.

• Theatres – Specialised theatre environments. To include ultra clean orthopaedic,

general theatres, ophthalmology theatres, minor treatment, cardiac catheter treatment,

maternity theatres, anaesthetics, scrub, clean and dirty utility, support plant, changing,

CSSD and recovery.

• Support areas – Administration offices to CSSD. Plants, mortuaries, pharmacies,

clean utilities areas and dirty utilities areas.

• Sterile areas – Operating theatres, clinics, surgical dept, oncology, CSSDs and

TSSUs.

• Accident & Emergency Units – Including examination areas through to

reception desks and waiting areas.
