General Greek Olympic Rules

I. Dates, Times, and Locations of Eventsa. The Greek Olympics will take Place beginning Thursday April 28th and will end Sunday May 1st

b. Events will be as followsi. Opening Ceremony- Thursday April 28th, 12-1, Stevenson Quad

ii. Knowledge Bowl- Thursday April 28th, 12-1 Stevenson Quadiii. Basketball- Friday April 29th, 6-12 pm, Recreation Centeriv. Soccer- Saturday April 30th, 8-12 am, M Section Park/ Beauj Fieldv. Softball- Saturday April 30th 1-5 pm, Beaj Fields

vi. Volleyball- Saturday April 30th 6-12 pm, Recreation Centervii. Football- Sunday May 1st 8am-6pm, M Section Park

II. Eligibility and Rostersa. Only active or pledging members may be eligible to participate in the Greek Olympicsb. All alumni or inactive members shall be barred from participating in sporting activites

i. Any alumni or inactive member caught playing for their team will cause immediate disqualification for that fraternity.

c. Rosters for each event must be submitted to the Greek O Chair at least one two weeks (April 14th) before the start of Greek Olympics. Those rosters will be crosschecked with official chapter rosters provided by the CSLIS office.

d. There is no limit to how many events members may participate in.III. Personal Conduct

a. All members will sign a personal conduct contract, or they will be barred from participating in events. Chapters must submit the contract along with official rosters on April 14th.

b. There will be no tolerance of alcohol or drugs at events.i. Anyone who seems to be intoxicated with alcohol or any drug will be immediately removed from the

event by the IFC and will receive punishment from the University.ii. This rule applies to all spectators, both male and female.

IV. Admission and Philanthropya. IFC will be charging a $5.00 all-access admission fee to all who wish to come out to events.

i. A wristband will signify and get spectators in to all events.ii. Members of each fraternity who sign the liability waiver will be given a wristband. All who do not

will need to purchase a ticket. b. The fraternity who wins the overall Greek Olympics will get the proceeds donated to their philanthropy of

choice.V. Teams and Point Systems.

a. There will be six teams participating in the Greek Olympics.b. In each event four teams will be awarded points. The point system shall be as follows:

i. First Place-Four pointsii. Second Place- Three Points

iii. Third Place- Two pointsiv. Fourth Place- 1 pointv. Fifth and Sixth Place- 0 points

c. Brackets will be as shown on the following page.

d. Teams placed in each bracket will be randomly drawn out of a hat at each Greek Olympic planning committee meeting.

e. Rules for each event will be determined at each Greek Olympic planning committee and voted upon by the IFC.
