Project Approach

1. Assessment to understand client’s needs and overall scope of work.

Shown above is Stratford University’s Virginia Beach location. WGS has also

furnished branches in Woodbridge, Newport News, Falls Church, Oakton, Baltimore,

and Alexandria. Leveraging our relationship with manufacturers to create a

standards program for the client, we negotiated both terms of product and special

pricing.

We worked with the client and their Project Management firm to coordinate

electrical, permitting, and more resulting in a smooth installation.

Brief:

Working closely with the Broker and Customer resulted in a beautiful installation. The

strong team support gave the customer confidence reflected in a fully functional and

highly successful collaborative design. By attending construction and architectural

meetings, WGS assisted with an ‘On Point’ furniture finish selection. WGS also

negotiated volume discounting with the furniture manufacturers based on combining

the two locations.

Due to the success of the Virginia and Maryland Main Offices, satellite offices are

being furnished as they open around the country (standardizing on furniture that

maintains the client’s aesthetic with budget in mind).

Brief:

As a Non-Profit, Share Our Strength had a firm budget and a mission in mind. In

collaboration with FOX Architects, the project management firm, and the customer,

WGS was able to stay within the tenant improvement budget and create a pleasant

and productive working environment for the customer.

Leveraging existing furniture in good condition and liquidation services, the budget

was able to be utilized in the most frugal and successful fashion.
