EXAM PREPARATION GENERAL ENGLISH We offer year-round courses which prepare for the Cambridge PET, FCE and CAE exams, and also for the IELTS Academic exam. In this class you learn exam strategy as well as improving the language skills most frequently tested in these exams. These are ideal classes if you have an exam goal. General English isn’t just grammar – it’s designed to improve all skills, especially speaking. These classes are designed to practice reading, listening, speaking, writing, vocabulary acquisition and pronunciation. Our focus is on real world English. IN CLASSAIRPORT TRANSFERWe can arrange for someone to wait for you at the airport to take you directly to your homestay accommodation. This service costs €70 one way and €120 return.

FIRST DAY IN SCHOOLOur school is easy to find on the Main Street of Dun Laoghaire. On your first morning you will meet our reception manager, who will welcome you. Our Academic Manager, will speak to you about your goals for your course. Our team is ready to help: just ask!

Our small classes and experienced teachers will make you feel welcome. We ensure a wide mix of nationalities so you can meet language learners from many cultures and backgrounds.

HOSTELS AND HOTELS

HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATIONLiving with a homestay is our most popular choice for students. All of our homestay providers offer full board accommodation and live within 30 minutes walking from the school and we have a huge range of homestay to suit you. Our accommodation manager, visits every home to make sure they reach our high standards. Your homestay will provide you with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Full board accommodation with a homestay costs from €220 per week. Extra facilities such as private bedrooms and bedrooms with a private bathroom are available.

ALL also offers hotel and hostel accommodation. These prices vary, so you can email us with your accommodation dates if you’d like a quote for a hotel or hostel.

Our town of Dun Laoghaire (pronounced ‘Don Liri’) is a beautiful traditional town only 20 minutes from Dublin City centre. There are 5 trains an hour to the city. Our students love that everything is close by in the town, and there are plenty of cafés. We are by the sea and close to the famous Wicklow Mountains, so Dun Laoghaire is a great choice for people who enjoy walking and hiking. Dun Laoghaire is a safe and relaxed town.

STUDENT PROGRESS CONSULTATION

Many of our students choose our 22hour per week course with 3 hours per week of one to one classes. We find this intensive course is the perfect solution for students who need to progress quickly as their private tutor can focus specifically on their needs, whether it’s exam preparation, medical English, pronunciation or just speaking fluently.

Our school is on Dun Laoghaire’s main street and is in a beautiful traditional building. Inside we have 15 bright classrooms and a Student Lounge, a relaxation area with ping pong and games, a library, administration facilities and a sun terrace with sea views for students. We have wi-fi throughout the building, computer terminals and students can enjoy coffee and snacks in our lounge.

All of our administration staff work in the building, so it’s easy to find someone if you have a question.Around Dun Laoghaire there are lots more facilities. The town has shopping centres and a cinema, parks and gyms, a world famous marina, a theatre and many cafes, restaurants and pubs. We are also proud of our town’s Lexicon library, which is the largest public library in Ireland!

We can arrange one to one classes by the hour.

We offer free mixed-level conversation classes twice a week to help you to meet other students and get more practice with your speaking fluency

We have a weekly programme offering a wide variety of exciting activities and social events for students, to suit all needs. We have visits to museums, to other cities in Ireland, to historical sights, nights out in pubs and clubs, orientation tours of Dublin and many more.

We offer a regular consultation service for students to meet with the Academic Manager to discuss their progress. Our Academic Manager can recommend to you extra work to help you to identify and work on your weak points.

How old is ALL? ALL was established in 1989.

Is ALL a recognised school?ALL is recognised by ACELS, a service of Quality and Qualifications Ireland, for English language teaching.

When are ALL courses?We operate year-round courses for both adult and junior courses. We also have dedicated Language and Activity junior courses in July and August.

What time are ALL courses?

Adult classes run from 09:30 to 11:30, then from 12:00 to 14:00 daily.Junior Class run 3 hours daily and are pre booked mornings or afternoons.Evening school runs Monday & Wednesday 19:00 to 21:00

When can I enrol at ALL? We have weekly enrolment every Monday for adultcourses.

How do I enroll at ALL?Complete the enrolment form and return to [email protected] and a certificate of enrolment will be issued for your course.

Is a deposit required to secure a booking?

A €300 deposit for a junior course and €200 deposit for an adult course is required – this amount is deducted from the final invoice.

How do I pay for my course at ALL

How do I apply as a non EU student?

On completion of your enrolment form, an invoice will be issued. When course fees are paid in full the required documentation will be issued to the applying students for visa processing.

Does ALL offer accommodation?

When does ALL close?We are open year around except for two weeks holidays at Christmas. We close on Irish public holidays.

There is a wonderful and varied social programme for both adults and juniors.
