Document archiving for Ukrainian State Centre of Radio

Frequencies

Client: State Enterprise ‘Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies’. Established in 1934.

Task: Archiving of documents in accordance with the requirements of paper management

Scope of work: . Scientific and technical processing (archiving) of documents for permanent, temporary and long storage periods. Operations for binding a book

Result: . documents for permanent storage period, personnel documents for years 2009-2010 were put in order. Inventory of files was done. Total amount of documents for archiving - 110 files. The Deed on Files Assignment for Writing off was prepared for the documents with temporary storage period

Peculiarity: . Documents for permanent storage period have the status of the National Archival Fund

E-archive for State Property Fund of Ukraine

Client: State Property Fund of Ukraine

Task: Creation of insurance fund of archived files (years 1993 - 1999)

Scope of work: . 200 files (70 000 pages) were digitalized. Documents were indexed by 5 characteristics (date, subject, type, document's number): . Folium e-archive system of was installed

Result: . Time spent for search of information under Property Rights was reduced;. Possibility of simultaneous work with archive documents by different services (departments) without dealing with paper document.

Peculiarity: . Multi-stage project, started in 2011. Analytics (identification of document subject according to its content). Work with handwritten and dying typewritten texts

Electronic library for National Historical Library of Ukraine

Client: National Historical library of Ukraine. The library was founded in 1939, has more than 100 employees with the library fund of more than 800 000 units of storage in 26 languages.

Task: Provision of access to more scientists, artists and readers, involved in science and culture study all around the world to the library collections through the library website.

Scope of work: Site was developed: www.dibu.kiev.ua. 699 379 cards were scanned . More than 400 books of XIX - XX centuries were digitalized . 56 560 bibliographic e-catalogue records were created. Equipment for scanning and storage of books insurance fund (scanner, server) was supplied

Result: . Number of site visitors increased 4-times. Rare editions were removed from work. Readers have access to e-copies of books in reference library room

Peculiarity: . The project was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the International Renaissance Foundation, Ukrainian Library Association. Student of KPI, NAU, NAMCA were involved in work performance
