Jain Center of New Jersey General Body Meeting December 16, 2018—JCNJ Auditorium—10 AM 111 Cedar Grove Lane, Franklin Township, NJ 08873 Pranam & Jai Jinendra Following up the notice we provided in the September Paryushan Patrika, a Regular General Body Meeting of the registered members of Jain Center of New Jersey (JCNJ) will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Auditorium of JCNJ. This special General Body Partika provides you the documents pertaining to the agenda of this meeting. We have arranged to provide breakfast during morning hours till 9:30 AM. We request your presence at this annual meeting. JCNJ CONSTITUTION GUIDELINES QUORUM REQUIREMENTS: A quorum for Regular General Body Meeting shall consist of two hundred (200) or 15% of total voting members, whichever is smaller. No resolutions can be passed at such a meeting where there is lack of quorum. If quorum is not reached at a scheduled meeting, Secretary shall call another General Body meeting within 45 days of such scheduled meeting. If quorum is not reached again, the finan- cial statement of JCNJ will be presented for informational purposes, but no resolution can be passed. The Operating Budget of JCNJ shall be presented to the General Body for approval but in the event same is not approved due to lack of quorum or otherwise, the prior year's Operating Budg- et shall be automatically adopted. The Capital Budget of JCNJ requires approval by the General Body at a meeting with quorum for adoption. Following up the notice we provided in the September Paryushan Patrika, a Regular General Body Meeting of the registered members of Jain Center of New Jersey (JCNJ) will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Auditorium of JCNJ. Also provided 2019 Proposed Budget with breakdown of key drivers for increased spend vs. 2018 Actual Spent. 

2019 Projected Sarva Sadharan Income—Based on 2018 Sarva Sadharan Income 

The breakdown below provides a breakdown of fund sources that we are projecting for collection of Sarva Saddharan Funds needed to cover for 2019 Proposed Operating Budget expenses. The objective is to avoid using any Dev Dravya Funds for any Sadharav Dravya expenses in the 2019 Operating Budget Expenses.

Updated actuals will be presented at the GB Meeting as part of the Annual Financial Update.

Resolution for Consideration by Members at the Dec 16, 2018 General Body Meeting regarding Approval of Forgiving The

$75,000 Loan to Jain Society of Greater Phoenix and Changing it as a Dev-Dravya Donation in JCNJ Finance Records

Jain Center of New Jersey (JCNJ), loaned a sum of $75,000 to Jain Society of Phoenix in the Year 2007 for construction of their Jinalay. Jain Society of Phoenix has had financial difficulties and have requested to JCNJ to forgive this loan. The Jain Society of Phoe-nix has committed to recognizing this donation of JCNJ with an appropriate plaque displayed prominently in its Jinalay.

JCNJ’s elected Officers and Trustees, collectively the Board of Trustees, have considered this matter at its meetings and ap-proved a motion to forgive this loan and to change (reclassify) it as Dev-Dravya donation in JCNJ financial records, pending approval of this decision by the General Body.

RESOLVED, that the General Body hereby adopted and approved a proposal to forgive $75,000 loaned to Jain Society of Greater Phoenix for construction of its Jinalay (Derasar/Temple), and to reclassify this loan as a Dev-Dravya donation in JCNJ’s finan-cial records.

Construction its Jinalay (Derasar/Temple)

Jain Center of Central Virgina is constructing a Jinalay (Derasar/Temple). It has requested JCNJ to contribute (donate) JCNJ Dev Dravya funds towards construction of its Jinalay.

JCNJ’s Officers and Trustees, collectively the Board of Trustees, have considered and approved a motion to donate $150,000 to Jain Center of Central Virginia. The Jain Society of Virginia has committed to recognizing this donation of JCNJ with appropriate plaques – in Ghabhara and/or the other in Rang Mandap—based on the Option approved by the General Body Members.

RESOLVED, that the General Body hereby adopted and approved the Option _______ from the options provided below: OPTION A: Donate $75,000 Dev Dravya Funds for the Gabhara of the Jinalay OPTION B: Donate $75,000 Dev Dravya Funds for the Rang Mandap of the Jinalay OPTION C: Donate $150,000 Dev Dravya Funds for both the Gabhara and Rang Mandap of the Jinalay
