general anth, summer 2015

1
Have you ever wondered… Why do people act the way they do? How and why do cultures change? How did people live in the past? Where did our ancestors come from? General Anthropology will explore these issues and more. This class will introduce you to the four primary fields of the discipline: Biological Anthropology, Linguistics, Social Anthropology, and Archaeology. In addition to the course text book, we will use films, activities, and past and current examples to explore each field. This class counts toward the minor in anthropology and Core Goals 3 and 4. Please contact Benjamin Gray if you have any questions. [email protected] General Anthropology ANTH 100 July 6 – July 31 Monday through Friday – 10:20 AM to 12:10 PM
