Let’s face it; we ALL have people in our lives who claim to be Social

Media experts. Someone close to you MAY be, but, from experience,

those closest to us are often the ones who are the hardest to learn from.

I could get into sharing lengthy memories of trying to learn 9th grade

math from my older [genius] brother, but will maybe save that for

another time.


Why using Social Media is such a Good Idea…You will want to use Social Media for:

Connecting

Are there friends and family that you feel you have missed out on

seeing or lost touch with, but you KNOW they very well may be on

Social Media? Now is your time! The possibilities of finding and

reconnecting with people are almost endless! I have found college

roommates and old school buddies I truly thought I would never

hear from again, and that has just been the tip of the iceberg!



Communicating

Do you have family, friends, and loved ones at a distance and wish

you could communicate better? Social Media can be so flexible AND

private, if that is a concern of yours.



Learning

Do you feel a little left out or left behind when it comes to Social

Media? Using social networks to learn new things; stay on top of

news and your specific interests is a top activity of 50 plus social

media users today. It is NEVER too late to learn.



Sharing your story

One of my personal favourite parts of Social Media; using it to share

YOUR story, your wisdom, your experiences, so that others can

benefit from them.



Business reasons

Perhaps you have started a side business and want to use Social

Media to help it grow. You have heard of the importance of the

different Social Media platforms that you should be using for

business, but simply do not know where to start. It feels
