There are three classes of punishment one may be subject to in בית דין

קם ליה בדרבה He gets the greatest of theמיניה

punishments,and no other

If one commits an עבירה for which his is חייב more than one type of punishment…

If one’s fire burned down a stack of grain, and there were objects inside it

burned as well

:רבי יהודהHe pays for what was inside it

:חכמיםHe pays only for the wheat or barley

If one burned a haystackAnd a goat was tied to it

And a slave was near it

He is חייב to pay

for the goat and the hay

If one burned a haystack

And a goat was near it

And a slave was tied to it

He is פטור from paying

anything

The חכמים agree to ר' יהודה…

That if one sets fire to a large tower, he pays for everything inside it, because it is normal for people to leave possessions in houses
