Gelana AbayaLocated in the northwest of Yirgacheffe, Gelana and Abaya are coffee producing districts within the Oromia region found between the Lake Abaya and Yirgacheffe's town.

This coffee was picked by local farmers in the Wachu Lalicha village and processed in the Gelana Abaya washing station near the Kebele village.The beans are then dried on African beds, where they are hand-sorted, usually by women.

 As the coffee plant was originated in East Africa, thousands of varieties have developed over time, but Ethiopian heirloom varieties stand out for their surprising fruity aromas and flavors.
