Dear Reuben

Proposed Construction of new Gee Gee Bridge

Thank you for your letter of 8 February 2016 inviting comments in relation to the Review of

Environmental Factors (REF) for this project.

The MDBA s interest in this project is in relation to the potential for effects of flows on MDBA JointVenture assets. Approximately 350m upstream of the existing Gee Gee Bridge is Hydrometric

Station No. 409062. This hydrometric station is an asset of the MDBA Joint Venture and is part of

the network which other agencies rely on. This Hydrometric Station is managed on behalf of the

MDBA by NSW Department of Primary Industries Water (formally NSW Office of Water). They willneed to be consulted regarding the potential impacts of the proposed works on this hydrometric

station. The contact person is:

Danny Hannon

Hydrometric Coordinator - South West, Water Resource Assessment and

Management, Water Monitoring Unit

DPI WaterTUMUT NSWPhone: (02) 6941 2249Email: [email protected]

The Wakool River is classified as a NSW waterway, therefore if not already done so, we suggest

that Water NSW and NSW DPI be consulted in relation to flow matters.

Should you require any further details or clarification on our comments please contact MDBA

Senior Assets Engineer Paul Sureda on (02) 6279 0570.

Yours Sincerely

Andrew Reynolds
