Preventive Maintenance Service – Level I

The Level I preventative maintenance service is a one-time switchgear analysis. GE will clean, inspect and testthe critical power switchgear system.

Mechanical Inspection

• Visually inspect switchgear for damage

• Test keyed interlock systems for proper function

• Verify breakers trip and reset, clean and lubricate

• Tighten bus bar connections and/or verify connectionswith a millivolt drop test (where permitted)

• Inspect for proper grounding

Electrical Inspection

• Test all lights and fuses

• Verify all meters and displays are functional

• Verify all interface panels are functional

• Check all pre-alarms and shut down functions

• Verify and set generator voltage and frequency

• Electrically operate breakers

• Test PLC battery

• Verify operation of protective relays

Complete System Test

Run complete system test in Auto and Manual Modeand verify proper operation of:

• Load add/shed sequence

• Automatic synchronizer and synchronized circuits

• Load sharing controls

• Governor control

• Automatic PLC systems

• Automatic generator loading control

• Import/export controller

Parts/Labor

• 15% discount on any parts purchased and installedduring inspection

• 10% discount on labor used to perform repairs during inspection

• Six months parts and labor limited warranty on any repairs performed

Preventive Maintenance Contract – Level II

The Level II preventative maintenance contract includesone annual switchgear inspection. GE will clean, inspectand test the critical power switchgear system. Additionaldiscounts are included on parts and labor for the durationof the contract period.
