What is Gilda’s Club?

• Internal Mission Statement:• To ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge,

strengthened by action, and sustained by community.

• Internal Vision Statement:• GCR will be the leading provider of emotional, social and educational

support for individuals and families living with cancer in our community. Our support will be recognized by all as the essential complement to medical care and a vital resource for those who are touched by cancer.

• External Communication of the Mission:• Our mission is to create communities of free support that embraces

everyone living with cancer—men, women, teens and children—along with their families and friends.

• Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, educational and social activities

• We are here to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community. 3
