After testing the boiler water for alkalinity and/or pH, the required GC CONCENTRATED ALKALI dosage is determined from the appropriate control chart. 2. 1.0 milliliter of this product per ton of distilled water gives 0.5 ppm alkalinity. Feeding: GC CONCENTRATED ALKALI should be mixed with condensate and fed directly to the steam drum (below water level) by means of a bypass pot feeder or chemical injection pump. It can also be fed to the water drum or economizer inlet. For low pressure boilers, the solution may be dosed to the hotwell or condensate return tank.
