Julie got involved in Professional Women in Building in 2014. She enthusiastically attends every event ready to meet new people and build stronger relationships. Julie truly helps to make the PWB a positive and growing council within GBAHB. We are so grateful to have Julie as a PWB Member.
Julie is a graduate of Auburn University. She has 25 years of experience in non-profit management and fundraising – UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, National American Cancer Society, The Salvation Army, among others. Julie joined You’ve Got It Maid as an upstart in 2014 as Director of Sales and Operations. You’ve Got It Maid is a full services cleaning company for all spaces – Post-construction/remodel, offices, residential, rental property..
Experience:
Family Fun: Julie is married to Preston with one beautiful stepdaughter – Savannah; two dogs – Brother and Ophelia; and two cats – Emmie Lou and Boo.

Julie has served on the GBAHB PWB Board since the beginning of 2014. She currently serves as the Vice President. Julie does a fabulous job– is always willing to lend a helping hand and is full of creative ideas. Julie has been such a big part of the PWB Council’s growth. We know she will do an amazing job as PWB President in 2016!
Julie has been in the mortgage business for 12 years. She worked for HomeTown Mortgage most of those years and has been originating loans for SouthPoint Bank Mortgage Division for almost one year. She enjoys helping people achieve the American dream of home ownership. Julie is actively involved with the Leeds/Moody Caravan and Professional Women in Building.
Career & Organizations:
Family Fun & Hobbies: Julie is the proud mother of two sweet boys, Peyton (9) and Nolan (8). She is expecting a precious baby girl in June! Julie says, “Basically my life revolves around being a mom and I wouldn't have it any other way.” Peyton and Nolan are on a travel baseball team and that keeps them busy during the Spring and Summer. Julie loves to cook and has a knack for gardening (when she can find the time).

Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders wins award for “Best ABPAC Fund Raising Program” at the HBAA Annual Convention in Point Clear, AL in 2014. The program was the November 2013 Chili Cook Off hosted by the Professional Women in Building.
GBAHB PWB wins 1st place award “Legislative Program” from NAHB PWB at the International Builder’s Show in Las Vegas this year– again for the November 2013 Chili Cook Off hosted by the Professional Women in Building.
GBAHB PWB 2014, 2015 Council President, Katherine Higgins, is awarded National PWB Member of the Year at the International Builder’s Show in Las Vegas this year.
