Goddess Gayathri – Gayathri Mantra

Goddess Gayathri is also called as “Veda Maata”. She is also considered as the `Supreme Goddess’. People try to connect Gayatri Mantra to Goddess Gayathri. But Gayatri mantra is called by this name because of the ‘Gayatri Chandas’ in which it is composed of. It was discovered by the great Rishi Vishwamitra. The actual Goddess related to this mantra is ‘Savithri’.
