• Spiritual dryness may be the result of EXHAUSTION. (v1)

• Your exhaustion may be caused by CRITICAL attacks of an enemy. (v11c)

– intense, prolonged resistance to these attacks wipes the believer out spiritually and emotionally

Rehydration Techniques

• RUN back towards God (63:1-5)

– Reaffirm your PERSONAL relationship with Him. (v1a)

– Seek Him EARLY and earnestly. (v1b)

– Spend time in individual and corporate WORSHIP. (vv2b-5)

• REST in His protection (63:6-8)

– Remind yourself CONTINUALLY “God’s always had my back” (v6)

– Place yourself back under His WING of PROTECTION (v7a)

– Sing to Him and CLING to Him (vv7b-8a)

– RELAX – He has your back again! (v8b)

• RESIST the urge to run away or return fire (63:9-11)

– Let GOD deal with them appropriately (vv9-10)

– Rejoice in God’s PLAN for you -- your successful passage through this episode (v11)
