GasBuddy Pump Price Spread Report June 2016

Entering the summer driving season, gas prices are reaching their most expensive peak point for the year.

With this in mind, GasBuddy conducts this research in order to better inform the public of their ability to save

during this expensive time. We evaluated the millions of prices coming through each day between Jan 1 –

May 31, 2016 in order to determine the cities where gas station prices vary the most.

Methodology:

- Spread data is the average of January 1, 2016 through May 31, 2016 regular gasoline spread for 456

GasBuddy-defined metro areas

- Spread - the difference between the highest 5% of stations and the lowest 5% priced stations within the

given GasBuddy-defined metro area

- Regions defined by the US Census Bureau
