Gas Turbine Systems has been recently founded in 2003 by
Terry Brown. Over the span of his career, he has been
employed by a number of globally recognized industry leaders
in the associated fields. His vast experience spans over 25
years of working with turbomachinery relative to air filtration
and acoustical equipment. The
company has continued to make
improvements in equipment design and
utilizes only the most widely accepted
engineering; those practices that have
proven success and meet the specific
application requirements. Brown has
spent a large part of his career working
directly with staff and field engineers to improve the operational
design based on actual “field” requirements. The expertise of
the company lies in the proper application engineering of this
equipment and in meeting the demands imposed by site
specific ambient conditions.

While many of the larger air filtration equipment companies
have dedicated their efforts and resources on specific engine
manufacturer’s requirements, Gas Turbine Systems has taken
an “application” driven approach. Our competition has
become limited in their understanding and ability to respond
to the multitude of unique application requirements
experienced at the site and operational level. Accordingly,
operators, reliability engineers, and maintenance staff are left
without support and the means of obtaining optimum
performance from their equipment. Gas Turbine Systems
fills that void and provides efficient and cost effective assistance
to meet these demands.

Our air filtration equipment ...
Gas Turbine Systems designs two primary air filtration types ofequipment. Those being “static” or barrier filter systems and “pulse-jet” or self-cleaning air filtration systems.
STATIC AIR FILTRATION
Uni-Guard is a modular, heavy duty, air intake filter house designedfor use on all types of rotating machinery. It offers reliability anddurability to withstand the requirements of small gas turbines, turbo-
charged engines, axial compressors, fans, andblowers where severe surging and pulsationoccurs. Standard designs are available toaccept a variety of filter sizes, with weatherprotection an integral feature. This is a rugged,
bolted design that utilizes mill applied galvanized steel to enhancedurability and corrosion resistance in severe environments.
Barrier Filter System intake filter houses are modular and heavyduty, designed specifically for use on all types of turbomachinery.They offer reliability and durability to withstand the specializedrequirements of gas turbines and engines where severe surging orpulsations occur. Barrier filter units are also ideally suited for
installation oncentrifugal and axialcompressors. Themodular design allowsfor multi-stage filtersystems and airtreatments. Multiplemodules are used toaccommodate largeairflows and meet therestraints of shipmentand installation. Both
standard designs and custom arrangements are available to meetspecific site requirements.
Self-Cleaning Air Filtration
Pulse-Jet Filter System intake filter houses are designed forsevere operating conditions that require on-line, automatic,self-cleaning. High dust concentrations, typical for desertapplications, and sub-freezing conditions, as experienced incold weather environments, require uninterrupted service. ThePulse-Jet filter system has been designed and thoroughlytested to provide optimum pulse energy that is applied to thefilter cartridge, yielding excellent collected particulate release.Two primary configurations are utilized. The Up-Flow, offersfilter service, with air intake, from the housing’s underside. TheCross-Flow, which utilizes horizontal installation of the filters,allows for incorporation of specialized weather protection, suchas hoods, louvers, and coalescing sections at the front of thehousing. The Cross-Flow is also offered without the pulsesystem, as a static filter. The modular design accommodateslarge airflows, while meeting normal shipping / handlingrequirements. Both standard designs and customarrangements are available to meet specific site needs.

Through a number of strategic partnerships we are able toenhance our product offering.
Gas Turbine Systems partners with numerous companies toachieve these objectives. As an example, we are NOT filtermanufacturers. It is our commitment to remain flexible in thedesign of our air filtration systems by utilizing numerous filtermanufacturers and select the products best suited for theapplication. In so doing, it is our intent to work with eachcustomer to prevent redundancy in filter stocking and conflictsto purchasing agreements.
