WHAT ARE FOUNDATION DOES!!!!

• Gamers Outreach Foundation is a video-game industry charity organization!

• We practice with interactive entertainment in ways that improve the lives of others!!

• A holistic approach, we use video games to help people out

FUN FOR OUR TROOPS• Fun for our Troops was

founded with the mission of aiding in stress relief and relaxation by providing high tech and interactive games to deployed troops.

• Through Fun For Our Troops, Gamers Outreach Foundation supplies substantive video game care-packages to troops serving overseas.

INPUTS!• STAFF

Stefanie Shea• Stefanie is the Director of Fun For Our Troops,

a program which became a part of Gamers Outreach in 2009. Stefanie is the person responsible for coordinating Fun For Our Troops activities, and it is imperative for her to make sure donated games get overseas to those serving in the armed forces!

Michael Shea• Mike is a former full-time soldier who left active

duty in February of 2009, after 4 ½ years of service and two combat tours with the 101st Airborne Division. Mike became a Fun For Our Troops staff member in 2009, and assists Stefanie with handling Fun For Our Troops activities.

• Our supplies come from people around the USA from gamers like you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• Also the actual money donations we get are used for buying hardware and games and also covers the shipping cost!!!!!!!

OUTPUTS!!

• Many of our service men and women are gamers, and they rely on FUN FOR OUR TROOPS! For video game consoles and the games that come with it.

PROCESS• Monetary donations made to our program

are used to purchase gaming equipment and cover shipping expenses.

• Game donations we receive are mailed to U.S. troops deployed throughout the world .

• When deployment ends, service members are required to hand down the high-tech game, gaming system or MP3 player to someone who will remain deployed or MWR.

OUTCOMES!!!!!!!!!

• It is our hope that the games our troops receive not only help with stress relief and relaxation, but also serve as a reminder that we are always mindful and thankful of our armed forces serving all over the world.

• Also we are proud to donate Go-karts(Gamers Outreach karts) to children in hospitals.

OUTCOMES!!

• The outcomes we achieve are very simple we help people who are stressed and cant really leave there area (children who are very ill, and service men/women off in another country serving their country) by supplying video games to relieve their stress, take there mind off their current situation, and boost their morale knowing someone out there is helping them. Overall help their mental health.

A new Project Idea!!

One of our newest robust ideas is to set up gaming centers in government community centers so that the neighboring kids so it can appeal to more kids to make purposeful reflective judgment and fun (in a sense) or even to get away from their current situation. For example: kids who’s parents are always fighting or kids who have siblings into drugs, crime, ect.

MY CONNECTION!!

I am not evolved with the foundation or its projects but I know from experience that this foundations values are true. For majority of people they think gaming is a waste of time or compare it to drugs!! What happened to being open minded? Video games aren’t addicting people say they are addicting but if you rather had yourself go out and do drugs or play video games? In my life time I quit drugs and became a proud gamer!

PERSONEL EXPERIENCE!!

I know from experience when I volunteered at a community center I would see come just to play games and when I asked why don’t you go home and do it either they don’t have the money to afford or to get away from their family. Also I saw kids older siblings come to the community center and say to their younger siblings lets go and get high or do some other stuff and the siblings said no I want to stay here and play video games !!!!!! Gaming = Good

How this relate to critical action is quite simple

• We evoke people to get out and join our tournaments to play games and at the same time fundraising.

• We supply people with video games to self motivate themselves

• We develop ways to raise money for a foundation of our choice for example Gamers For giving is a major function we have.

• Providing gamers with a unique opportunity to become involved with charity work.

CRITICAL THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So critical thinking, yes?

• We believe what we do makes people forget of their situation considering the fact that video games take your full attention when you play.

• We justify are gaming events by donating all the money we received from the event to charities.

• We improve thinking, in majority of games there are puzzles of in some games law of physics occur so a lot of thinking in that.
