BURKE LEADS RIDERS FIRST SHUTOUT OF 2019: The Riders notched their first shutout win of the season Monday at Arkansas, knocking off the Travelers 4-0 on just six hits. Brock Burke went the first 4 2/3 innings, striking out eight, and three relievers combined to finish off the blanking. Frisco led 1-0 until the ninth, when the bats plated three more insurance runs.

LATE STRIKERS: The Riders have made a habit of scoring late in games recently. In the last four games, Frisco has scored nine of its 22 runs after the seventh inning, including the three in the ninth Monday night.

AH! WHAT A RELIEF: Frisco relievers have been superb in the early going, sporting a collecting 3.59 ERA while holding opponents to a .216 average. The bullpen hasn’t allowed a run since Thursday, bringing a scoreless streak of 15 1/3 innings into play tonight.

NO WEI!: Earlier today, RHP Wei-Chieh Huang was recalled by the Rangers and will be seeking his Major League debut. Huang made six outings with the Riders to begin the year, going 1-0 with a 1.86 ERA. He was acquired from Arizona at last year’s trade deadline. He would be the 153rd Riders alumnus to reach the big leagues and the fourth already this year.

KEEPING THE STREAK GOING: Catcher Tony Sanchez has started his season on a 12-game hitting streak, batting .333 in the process. His streak is the longest by a Riders hitter since Ronald Guzman collected a 16-game surge in 2016.
