Amazon jungle in Cuyabeno. Our lodge

selections will give you a wonderful opportunity to explore this amazing environment. The

team of the lovely Samona lodge or the Siona lodge will allow you to get close to the incred-

ible biodiversity of species of plants and animals. The bilingual naturalist guide will accom-

pany you through many programmed activities, such as a night walk, canoe trip, educative

Day 1) Flight or bus to Lago agrio, canoe on Cuyabeno river. night walk.

Day 2) Traditional canoe, fauna & flora observation, educative walk, swim in

Day 3) Traditional canoe, nature observation, educative walk, swim in Laguna

Grande & sunset watching.

Day 4) Meeting with Shaman, visit of community, swim in Laguna.

Day 5) Bird watching, drive back to Lago Agrio.

MINDO

This day trip is the opportunity to take a deep breath of fresh air at just a

couple of hours from Quito! Discover the cloud forest, the flora, and fauna

(humming birds, butterflies, orchids...). Leave Quito for Mindo early in the

morning with private transport picking you up from the hostel. This lovely lit-

tle village offers a pleasant city break! You can visit powerful waterfalls, en-

joy the thrills of the Zip Lining tour and Tubing or even observe beautiful

butterflies and plants in a ‘Mariposario’.

At the end of the day, we will give you a lift back to your hostel in Quito!

The tour includes: Private Transportation from/to Quito, breakfast, Zip lin-

OTAVALO Join us on this day trip to the most visited artisan market in South

At the beginning of the day we will pick you up from your hostel and go straight to Animals

market on the way to Otavalo, and then we will visit to Otavalo town, including its main mar-

ket, Plaza de los Ponchos, will give you a chance to shop. Local handcrafts, weaving, souve-

nirs and more can be found there! This is a superb opportunity to experience the culture of

an indigenous Ecuadorian market. After Otavalo, we will stop off for lunch in Cotacachi, fa-

mous for its leather market. Finally, on the way back to Quito, we will visit Peguche’s water-

fall. At the end of the day, we will return to the hostel in Quito.

COTOPAXI Join us on this day trip to one of the most famous volcanoes of the world !

This adventure begins with an early pick up from your hostel. During the drive, you will enjoy

great views of snow-capped mountains, such as Ilinizas, Cotopaxi and -if it is a clear day- the

Tungurahua volcano. You will cross the wonderful Cotopaxi National Park and visit the park’s

museum with a private guide. After a 1-hour hike, you will arrive at the refuge, which sits at

4,900 meters above sea level. At the refuge, we will rest a bit in order to enjoy the view be-

fore heading back. Finally, down hill biking to visit the Limpiapungo lake, an excellent point to

observe many local birds as well as different kinds of vegetation and the Cotopaxi and Rumi-

nahui volcano. At the end of the tour, we will drive you back to your hostel in Quito.

The tour includes: the private transportation for the whole day, a guide, bike and box lunch

& Breakfast.

This full day cultural tour begins with a visit to a local indigenous market at Saquisili

(Thursdays only) or in Pujili (Sundays only). The drive to Laguna Quilotoa, an amazing em-

erald lagoon inside a volcano crater at 3800m height, displays a beautiful view of the An-

dean mountains. The trip through the indigenous villages of the area provides a chance to

see the real Ecuador. Enjoy your lunch at the top of the Laguna Quilotoa; then, hike down

to the bottom of the Crater Lake. At the shore of the lake, we will take the time to re-

lax and enjoy the landscape before hiking back up. For the return journey, there is the

option to use a mule at an additional cost of $8 or kayak $3. The weather in the area of

the Laguna is unpredictable so we recommend that you bring warm and waterproof cloth-

Climb the highest active volcano in the world !

Although the climb is not classified as technically difficult, it is absolutely necessary to

go with professional guides and specialized glacier hiking equipment like ropes, ice-axes

and crampons. The climber must be in good physical condition and must already have had a

good acclimatization.

Climb one of the highest active volcanoes in the world at 5879 m!

Due to its perfectly symmetrical cone, covered in a thick blanket of snow and ice, the Co-

topaxi is one of the tourist highlights in Ecuador and it's most visited and climbed volca-

no.

The climb to the summit occurs during the night; this allows watching the sunrise from

the summit and displays unsurpassed views of Quito to the North and Chimborazo and

Tungurahua to the south. At the top you have a magnificent view into the snow capped

crater where it is possible to see steam emissions. The ascent departs from the refuge

at 4800m and climbs through a mixture of volcanic sand, snow, and glacier to the summit.

The ascent takes between 6-8 hours while the descent takes 2-3 hours.
