DESCRIPTION
PresentationTRANSCRIPT
"That moment, that walking sign means so much to me
because while I'm just rushing, that is the thing that I have
to wait on. I give part of life just waiting. In comparison to
someone who is waking to chipotle, it may not be an urgent
matter."
"It's that sense of community that you can create. This is a
Jesuit university, this is America. Our country has less than
1% Muslims overall. But it's having that opportunity to
find people who have shared values and practices and
being able to take part in them with them."
"I think, what photography stands for is capturing that
one moment. That's really important for me. I
remember when someone does something for me I
try to store it in my head for as long as possible
because when you have those downhill spirals, it's
those thoughts and memories that keep you going."
"I talked about community and everything, but then at
the same time, what I'm here for is to study. Even when I
don't want to, like when there is something going on,
sometimes you just have to prioritize and choose… As a
student, often the demand is there for you to make those
choices."
"I always had the need to stand up for justice, but
I never got the change to educate myself or had
the time to educate myself. Over the summer I
did about several different things. It really opens
your eyes. That sense of responsibility is within
me."
Note: This is not the original artifact. The original artifact was a photo album (to represent my student’s passion for photography). Each of these slides accurately reflects one of the pages of the photo album.
