About this Guide
The Gainesville Recycling Resource Guide is an informational directory to assist residents and businesses with finding local options to recycle, donate, compost, resell, repair, and properly dispose of various unwanted materials. Be sure to confirm with drop-off locations prior to arriving to verify site location, materials accepted, and hours of operation. This guide was compiled as an informational service to our residents and does not imply an endorsement or approval by the City of Gainesville. All businesses and organizations listed in this guide are responsible for complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws pertaining to recycling, waste disposal, and environmental protection. Most items listed are accepted for recycling for free at drop-off sites; however, fees may apply for the disposal of other items at private facilities and for commercially generated waste.
