History of the iPad

• Steve Jobs knew there was a place in the market for a tablet. The hurdle was, finding the best time to launch one.

• The iPad falls in between an iPhone and a laptop computer in size.

• The iPad was actually conceptualized before the iPhone, but was released later.

• Steve Jobs wanted to make available a product that had all of the capabilities of a handheld device, but with the screen size that would allow one to do more traditional computing.

• The final product was not the first tablet on the market, but Jobs wanted it to be the best one.
