I n 1986, GABO rece ived her f i rs t as-s ignment f rom STERN Magaz ine, wh ich overn ight in i t ia ted her career as a suc-cessfu l p ro fess iona l photographer : She was sent on tour w i th Herber t Gröne-meyer, resu l t ing in an emot iona l ser ies o f por t ra i ts , one o f wh ich became the cover shot o f STERN, a t the t ime one o f the lead ing German magaz ines fo r photography.

Af te r that , the legendar y photo-sess ion w i th German tenn is s ta r, Bor is Becker took p lace. . GABO’s s ty l i zed b lack and wh i te photos he lped estab l ish ing h im as an in te rnat iona l icon. S ince then, she has fo l lowed Becker ’s evo lv ing ca-reer showing many facets o f the spor ts-man. In the la te 90s GABO captured Becker as a handsome man wi th de-s igner s tubb le beaming se l f -conf idence f rom h is deep b lue eyes – an image that made us fee l as i f we were look ing d i rect l y in to h is ver y hear t .
