G9Dance was born in january 2013, in the classrooms at the Instituto Su-

perior de Danza Alicia Alonso (King Juan Carlos University, in Madrid).

There are 9 women full of youth, strength, creativity and freshness in the

company, characterized by teamwork and sharing a passion in common:

their love and respect for Spanish Dance.

Its first work, En tierra de nadie, won the first prize for: V Choreographic

Miguel Marchán Madrid competition, Coreofest of Posadas (Córdoba), II

Spanish Festival of Dance and Flamenco of Parla (Madrid) and Prize Young

District Dance of Móstoles (Madrid).

After these achievements, the company decides to enlist in the difficult

projet of creating a whole show. That is how 9solo9 was born, out of dedi-

cation and perseverance.

G9DanzaThe company

It is an invitation to dive into the purity and

strenght of the Spanish Dance. It stages all

the sorrow of a soleá por bulerías, going

through the cadence of love and heartbreak,

and the picaresque of tanguillos and sevilla-

nas... This design is composed of five cho-

reographic pieces in which the beat of fla-

menco castanets, the movement of batas

de cola, the swirl of shawls and the fluttering

of fans create a variety to endure in the

retina forever.
