WHAT SERVICE-LEARNING MEANS TO ME
I feel that it is very necessary for people, especially students, to take time and complete service-learning activities. Working within the community gives me a better perspective of the little details that make up our community rather than looking at the big picture where many issues are overlooked. I feel as though many people take their lives and fortune (whether it’s counting every penny or too many pennies to count.) There are things that many people don’t see about their community due to the fact that they don’t take the time too. It gives you an opportunity to make an impact and show that you are giving back to a community that helped build you. I definitely recommend service-learning to everyone and I don’t have a problem with a professor requiring it for a grade.
