Department of Mechanical Engineering:

Department had organized expert lecture for subject ‘Engineering Metallurgy’ by

Dr. R.V. Taywade (Professor VNIT Nagpur) on 27th Sept. 2017, Prof. T.N.

Kumbalpuri , Asst. Professor, Mech. Dept. Govt. College of Engineering,

Chandrapur, on 21st Sept. 2017 and Dr Bhushan Dhabekar Scientific Officer (F)

Radiological Physics and Advisory Division Bhabha Atomic Research Centre

Mumbai-85 on 27th Jan 2018 for the students of all Semester

Department organized industrial visit for students like, at Ashok Leyland, KEC

international Ltd, Lokmat Printing Press MIDC, Butibori, MIB, South East

Central Railway, Motibagh, Nagpur, Maharashtra etc. for the students of all

Semester.

Faculty Development Program was organized by the Department in association

with KEC international Ltd for the faculty of RGI group

Department had installed one ROBO-CLUB name as “ROBOADHEYAN” and

ROBOTICS LAB on 16th September 2017.

Department had organized technical workshop for students like, Robotic

Workshop on QUARD COPTER, GO Kart Design & Manufacturing, etc.

Department had organized training programme like, Skill Development on NX10

& AUTO CAD Software, Industrial Exposer of KEC at KEC international Ltd

for the students all Semester

Department had organized various event for students like, Graffiti (wall painting

competition, Extrovert, Badminton, Footstall etc.

Faculty members attended various programmes for self-improvement and getting

knowledge on recent technology, programme like, STTP, Workshop on technical

topics, FDP at Indian institute of Technology Bombay and Varanasi etc.

Two faculty of department had attended FDP & STTP at IIT (BHU), Varanasi

teaching Learning Centre and IIT, Bombay.

Department faculty members are attended and publish their papers on various

international/ national conferences and journals. Total publications up to 2017-18

by faculty members are more than100.

Department faculty members are the members of different professional society

like, ISTE, ASME, SESI, IIIE, ISHRAE, etc.

Department had organized Event under MESA like, Guest lectures, departmental

events, Blood Donation Camp, etc.

Department students had organized Social Activity and ISR activity like, school

visit by students, old age house visit by students under ISR etc.

Department students of final year did Industrial based projects.

More than five Departmental Faculties had sponsored by the R&D department of

institute to participate in various academic activities to enhance their technical
