Per Vessel MDS's 24590-BOF-MVD-DEP-00003 and 24590-BOF-MVD-DEP-00004, internals - piping component call out which is assumed to be all nozzle and internal piping materials states seamless SB-690 material is required. GBI proposes to use welded SB-675 piping material for all nozzles and internal piping.

Vessels 24590-BOF-MV-DEP-VSL-00002,00003A,00003B,00003C have all been designed using welded SB-675 and meet ASME code requirements. The use of welded SB-675 was necessary due to material availablilty issues related to SB-690. All the SB-675 material to be purchase has 100% radiography inspection per ASME code from the factory.

In addition GBI will preform 100 % radiography of the pipe weld seam again using our approved 3rd party NOE vendor.

12. WTP Disposition Statement (Attach extra sheets, sketches, etc., as necessary).

WTP approves the Supplier using SB-675 (welded pipe) for all nozzle and internal piping instead of SB-690 (seamless pipe and tube) as shown on 24590-BOF-MVD-DEP-00003 and 24590-BOF-MVD-DEP-00004 with the following conditions.

1. Internal pipe shall have been hydrostatically tested in accordance with the requirements of ASME SB-675.2. The independent radiographic weld examination proposed by the Supplier will be performed in accordance

with the following provisions:a) Using a procedure meeting the requirements of ASME B&PVC Section V, Article 2, except the

techniques/methods are limited to those that utilize radiographic film.b) Reader sheets are required and shall be included in the quality verification data package.c) The acceptance criteria to evaluate the weld seams shall be the criteria defined in ASME B&PVC Section

VIII, Div. 1, UW-51.d) NDE RT personnel shall be qualified to a written practice meeting the requirements of SNT-TC-1A-2006.

The are no affected submittals associated with this SDDR.

Although the Supplier incorrectly states that all SB-675 pipe will be purchased with 100% radiographic inspection per the ASME B&PVC, Section II Part B, ASME SB-675 pipe is an equivalent alternative material to ASME SB-690 for internal piping and nozzles and the Supplier is still meeting the requirement for wall thickness. Additionally, the Supplier will perform an independent 100% radiographic examination as outlined in the WTP Disposition Statement above to ensure the integrity of the weld seam; therefore, this deviation is acceptable.
