Dear Ms. Wolcott,
!live, work and shop in Los Angeles and l support the Zero Waste LA Franchise system.
I join the Sierra Club and the Don't Waste LA Coalition to ask the City Council to approve the Zero Waste LA Franchise ordinance for the future of our city on April 1.
Thank you for supporting this important ordinance.
It is time to show that our City, known for its high air pollution and the recent closure of numerous landfills like Puente Hills, can also proactively reduce toxic emissions and trash that cities like San Francisco hal..€ already demonstrated.
The City of Los Angeles has set ambitious Zero Waste goals to achieve 90% waste diversion by 2025, but in order for us to accomplish this we need to adopt visionary plans like the Zero Waste LA Franchise System. The exclusive franchise system will dil..€rt a huge portion of our trash from landfills by finally allowing multifamily and commercial owners and residents to recycle the plastic, paper, glass, metal and other reusable materials than now fill their waste bins headed for a local dump.
It takes forward thinking policies to reduce waste and to ban plastic bags that will help Los Angeles become the nation's leading city in sustainability.
I urge the City Council to vote yes for the Zero Waste LA Franchise
System!
Thank you,
Ms. Patty Cornell 1405 Golden Gate Ave Los Angeles, CA 90026-6208

We should be requiring landfills to recycle as much as possible so citizens are relied on less to recycle, & the final destination for our trash is taking care of.

Dear Ms. Wolcott,
I live, work and shop in Los Angeles and I support the Zero Waste LA Franchise system.
I join the Sierra Club and the Don't Waste LA Coalition to ask the City Council to approw the Zero Waste LA Franchise ordinance for the future of our city on April 1.
I haw made many "waste" changes to bring my waste as close as possible to zero. I haw a compost bin from City of LA. I take my recyclables to recycle centers. I participate in LA County HHW ewnts. My household waste is less than a grocery bag per week. Yet, I still get charged the same $87 per bill as people who use all 3 of their 40 gallon bins each week. Something needs to be done!!
Obviously, people participate in the city's programs, but there needs to be much more incentiw to participate in reducing our waste cycle_ We need consciousness-raising and financial accountability at a more individual le~..el.
It is time to show that our City, known for its high air pollution and
the recent closure of numerous landfills like Puente Hills, can also proactively reduce toxic emissions and trash that cities like San Francisco have already demonstrated.
The City of Los Angeles has set ambitious Zero Waste goals to achieve 90% waste diversion by 2025, but in order for us to accomplish this we need to adopt visionary plans like the Zero Waste LA Franchise System. Dear Ms. Wolcott,
Hi Mitch,
I join the Sierra Club and the Don't Waste LA Coalition to ask the City Council to approve the Zero Waste LA Franchise ordinance for the future of our city on April 1.
I'm assuming you're on board with this measure, but here's my \IOte to support you in it.
Thanks, Lois Arkin
It is time to show that our City, known for its high air pollution and the recent closure of numerous landfills like Puente Hills, can also proactively reduce toxic emissions and trash that cities like San Francisco have already demonstrated.
The City of Los Angeles has set ambitious Zero Waste goals to achieve 90% waste dil..€rsion by 2025, but in order for us to accomplish this we need to adopt visionary plans like the Zero Waste LA Franchise System. The exclusive franchise system will divert a huge portion of our trash from landfills by finally allowing multifamily and commercial owners and residents to recycle the plastic, paper, glass, metal and other reusable materials than now fill their waste bins headed for a local dump.
It takes forward thinking policies to reduce waste and to ban plastic bags that will help Los Angeles become the nation's leading city in sustainability.
I urge the City Council to ~,Qte yes for the Zero Waste LA Franchise System!
Thank you,
Ms. Lois Arkin 117 Bimini PI Apt 221 Los Angeles, CA 90004-5900
