Divided Surface Lift (DSL)The DSL provides an extended work surfacethat can be raised or lowered from theprimary desk surface, to position the frontwork surface at the optimal level for eachunique user.

Desks shown with the DSL include the deskbase, specially cut desktop, the DSLworksurface and the DSL mechanism.

The DSL mechanism is easily adjusted andlocked with one lever, so no electricity isrequired.

For specially cut corner desks, the DSL mustbe part of the initial order. However, if youhave a work surface with an undivideddesktop and wish to replace that with a DSLdesktop in the future, a new desktop withDSL can be ordered and mounted onto yourexisting base unit.

Primary Work SurfaceThe Primary Work Surface can be raisedor lowered to position the desktop at theoptimal level for each unique user.

There are two basic types of elevatingmechanisms that operate within thestructural steel support posts: electric andmanual crank.

The electric lift allows the user to raise andlower the desktop with the simple push of abutton. A nearby 120VAC outlet is all thatis required.

The crank lift allows the user to easily raiseand lower the desktop with theEZ-Crank knob conveniently located on thedesktop. The two benefits with choosingthe crank are that no electricity is requiredand the crank desktop provides all thefunction of the electric model atsignificant cost savings.

Ergonomic Desk FeaturesAll desks presented in this catalog includethe base as listed (electric or manual crank)and the work surface as shown.

The standard color is black base with amatte black desktop and trim, but otherchoices are available as shown on page 19.Custom designs and custom colors may alsobe available.

Upgrades for many models may include:• deluxe programmable digital display

controllers; • locking casters: packaged set of four to

add mobility to most desks;• USB outlet for easy peripheral access.

10 Tips for an Ergonomic WorksTaTion:

1. Place the monitor directly in front of and centered about the user.

2. Place the monitor at a distance of more than 16" from the user with the viewing

angle between 0 to negative 18 degrees.

3. Keep CPU within arm’s reach but off of the work surface.

4. Place work surface at a height that allows legs to fit comfortably underneath with

feet flat on the floor. Use a footrest if needed.

5. Keyboard should be located at a height that allows the worker to key with the

upper arms hanging relaxed from the shoulders.

6. Keyboard should have a slight negative tilt.

7. Elbows should be roughly at right angles to allow the wrists to be fairly straight.

8. Place the pointing device (mouse) at the same height as the keyboard and as close

to the keyboard as possible.

9. Always maintain contact with backrest of chair to minimize back discomfort.

10. Take 20-second to 2-minute rest breaks between regularly scheduled breaks.

Making your ergonomic workstation work for You

Increase productivity, reduce fatigue, and enhanceergonomic safety in every office and workstation.

Work SurfacesTable tops can be ordered in various standard sizes. Special laminatesor sizes can be quoted separately. Set-up charges may apply. Pleasecontact us for a quote. (Standard color options are on page 19.)

Custom ColorCustom colors are available with with a special quote for 10 or lesstables of the same color. Special charges may be waived for orders of11+ tables in the same color. Lead Time is a minimum of 8 weeks. Anadditional upcharge may apply for special finishes.

Electric Lift ControllersEvery Electric Lift Table comes with a Programmable Controller.An upgrade Deluxe Programmable controller is also available.The standard Programmable Controller allows three pre-set heightsto be set into the memory of the switch. The Deluxe ProgrammableController allows three different users to pre-set three differentheights per user. This can be especially useful when one user wantsone height for sitting, one height for standing, and one height formatching another work surface.

ADAThe Americans with Disabilities Act requires wheelchair accessibletables with work surfaces to have approximately 26"- 42" heightclearance and 30" width clearance.

Monitor ArmsAll adjustable tables can accept the monitor arms shown in thiscatalog, as well as many from other suppliers. Grommet-mountmonitor arms require a 21⁄2" round hole. Clamp-mount monitor armsclamp from the back side of the table. Independent adjustment ofthe monitor is a critical ergonomic factor (pages 24-27).

Keyboard SupportsMost adjustable work tables can accept a keyboard support system.It may not be necessary to order a keyboard support on a work tablethat includes a Divided Surface Lift (page 29).

Glides & CastersAll feet come with threaded leveling glides for easy on-siteadjustment. In addtion, a set of four (4) locking casters are availablefor most work tables (page 29).

Warranty & CancellationThe Limited Lifetime Warranty for the ergonomic furniture means thatyour system is covered against defects in materials and workmanship.If a problem occurs with your system as a result of normal use, pleasecontact us immediately. This warranty is limited to providing areplacement system or a refund for replaced product or otherreasonable remedy at the discretion of the manufacturer. If an orderis canceled once received, cancellation fees may apply.
