The Door Furniture section comprises of items that generally fit on the face of the door allowing the

door to be opened and locked. It consists of the following generic products:

Since launch in 1991, Fusion Architectural Hardware has evolved into a comprehensive and

co-ordinated range of quality products designed for use in today's demanding buildings. The stainless

steel elements are in the majority made from Grade 316 and products where noted accordingly come

with a 25 year guarantee.

By utilising the latest manufacturing technology, we have been able to introduce new and

innovative designs to the range, which are available in both Stainless Steel and the more traditional

Bronze finishes.

Fusion is tailored for the quality commercial market. Its clean and simple lines, solid construction and

durable fixing methods make it the perfect choice for guaranteed performance for years to come.

Finishes

Springs in Handles:The Fusion range of handles are mainly solid in construction and primarily offered on an unsprung rose as standard to suit the commerciallock range.The references shown where applicable are referring to the unsprungrose, however most are available on a sprung rose as well.

Grade 316 Stainless Steel:Where noted within this catalogue, our Fusion range is made from Grade316 stainless steel. This grade has enhanced corrosion resisting qualitiesover that of Grade 304, which is the other main form of stainless steelused in production of ironmongery. Grade 316 is often referred to as“marine grade” stainless due to this increased resistance to chloride corrosion compared to Grade 304, making it a very suitable material foruse in salt water or swimming pool environments in particular.

25 Year guarantee:We offer a guarantee that all material will be free from manufacturingdefects on our products where applicable and noted, in the event of suchmaterial being found defective then this will be put right at our expense.

The guarantee will remain in force for a period of twenty-five years anddoes not cover normal wear and tear and will not exceed the scope ofrelevant British Standards.

All items manufactured in either solid or tube stainless steel bear thesame quality and are ideally suited to heavy duty locations where theintegrity of the material is a critical factor.

BS EN 1906:Some of the Fusion range of levers (A0019/A0119/A0719/A6100) havebeen tested and conform to BS EN 1906. The majority of these havingcorrosion resistance of Grade 4 as well as a Grade 4 rating for CategoryOf Use. Documentary evidence can be provided upon request.

All tube or solid brass items are stove lacquered (unless otherwiserequested/stated). As lacquer is an applied finish, we are not able tooffer any guarantees and over time, as with all applied finishes, this willwear/age depending on usage.

The high quality finishes produced in the Fusion range requires little orno maintenance provided they have been fitted correctly. Like most surfaces they will become marked when handled, they can be easilycleaned with a little soapy water and a damp cloth.

Under no circumstances use abrasive cleaners or solvents on StainlessSteel or Brass as they can damage the surface of the hardware. In thecase of brass, this will weaken the lacquer, causing it to wear quicker."

Finishes:Not all products are suitable for external use and the combination ofbase material and surface finish are important factors.In general all finishes tarnish eventually, however some are better thanothers. For harsh environments we recommend:

• Stainless Steel Grade 316

• Most applied finishes on a solid brass base (chrome, nickel, etc)

• ‘Stainless’ brass, a brass coloured durable coating on a stainless steel base now common on ‘traditional’ residential levers.

• Powder Coated finishes on steel such as our coloured range ‘Hewi’ or the residential Black Antique range

Note - many solid brass products are lacquered. Whilst lacquer delaystarnishing it will eventually break down and require removaland subsequent polishing. It can be preferable to take unlaquered brassand accept that it will require cleaning. Alternatively thetarnished look can make the product look more authentic and in keepingwith its environment.
