Page 1: Fundraising ideas - Crimestoppers UK

Fundraising ideasRaise funds at work and make a difference in your community. We’ve got the following fundraising event ideas that you can host. You choose what to do, you choose how to help...

Heroes and VillainsEncourage colleagues to come to work dressed as their favourite ‘goodie’ or ‘baddie’ character. Suggest a donation of £1 (and ask those not taking part to donate £2!).

Crime against fashionEncourage colleagues to come clean by coming to work in their most incriminating outfit from the past. Make a suggested donation of £1 for taking part and choose a sensibly dressed judge! Shell suits, bomber jackets and shoulder pads welcome and why not award a prize to the worst offender?

Crimes against musicSet a date and encourage colleagues to fess up about their criminal music tastes by admitting the most incriminating single ever bought for a donation of £1 and ask a representative to judge pop’s worst perpetrator. Chesney Hawkes, Venga Boys and Cheeky Girls welcome.

Bake it or Fake it!Add a twist to a bake sale by asking colleagues to bring in baked or bought items. Request a suggested donation of £1 to purchase a cake and pay an additional £1 to guess if the item has been baked or faked (shop-bought).

Criminal minds quizCan you outsmart your colleagues? Set up a crime quiz with rounds like: name the famous detective, name the crime show (missing letters of titles), match the villain to the show or film and true or false (examining laws from across the world and guessing if they are real or not).

Crime fiction book saleSet up a crime fiction sale in a communal area and ask for a £1 donation when taking on the challenge of reading a chilling tale.

£1k team challengeWe take an average of 1000 pieces of information from the public each day. Set your staff a challenge to raise £1k-in-a-day to help us continue taking these valuable calls. The team to do it in the shortest time wins a prize!

Challenge 1000Take the personal challenge to match the number of pieces of information we receive in any 24 hour period. Run 1000 metres, climb 1000 stairs or bake 1000 biscuits.

Lock up your bossAsk a Director or CEO to take part by staying locked in their office for lunch. Set them a target to raise in order to be freed and encourage them to ask friends, colleagues or business contacts to help them out.

Off-beat coppersPlace one of our donation boxes in a communal area and encourage colleagues to donate unwanted copper coins.
