    Jungle Cruise RideMagic Kingdom=>Adventureland

    By: osseous

Travel the Nile, the Amazon, and to a jungle in Asia. Thislong-time Disney favorite allows guests to encounterAudio-Animatronic jungle animals, experience somenever-before-seen wonders, escape from animatronic natives, andsurvive some incredibly corny - but fun - jokes. (You can't miss the"back side of water" as you experience your jungle excursion.)The entire experience allows all guests to be children again -

chuckling along with a spiel that varies mildly from boat captain tocaptain.

This ride is appropriate for all ages.

This is a FASTPASS attraction. If the standby line is more than 20minutes, it would be worthwhile to grab a FASTPASS.

FUN FactsThe friendly headhunter who appears near the end of the JungleCruise is known as Trader Sam".

The Jungle Cruise water is dyed brown, so that guests can't see that itis only 3.5 feet deep in places!

Four rivers of the world are visited on the Jungle Cruise: the Nile,

    Amazon, Congo, and Mekong.

Hidden MickeysSometimes waiting in line isn't so bad - you can find a great HiddenMickey near the water of the Jungle Cruise, made-up of orange lifepreservers and black cleats.

A small Hidden Mickey can be found on the Jungle Cruise sign - lookjust under the J on the sign, and you will see three little bumps thatform a classic three-circle Mickey head.

This one can be hard to find. Just after you pass the waterfall the firsttime, look for an airplane on the left side of the boat. On the right sideof this wrecked plane, you can see a classic three-circle Mickey headkind of sketched into the aluminum body.

Pirates of the Caribbean RideMagic Kingdom=>Adventureland

    By: mrkathika

Yo Ho! Yo Ho! A Pirate's Life For Me! This is a premiere Disneyride. The Audio-Animatronic characters take you along on a pirateadventure. Recently updated to include characters from thePirates of the Caribbean movie, the new characters are even morelife-like; Captain Jack Sparrow has been added to the attraction, and only enhances the experience. Even before the update, thecharacters all appeared so life-like - right down to the hair on their

    legs!

You load boats that sail along through various pirate scenes. Youare in the middle of a pirate cannon fight, see some typical scenesthat, in any other context, would appear somewhat scary, andenjoy the spoils of the victors. Truly, while the scenes - whendescribed - seem frightening, nearly everyone, including smallchildren, find this to be an appealing ride.

Unfortunately, this is not a FASTPASS attraction. There can belong lines for this ride; always popular, it has become even moreattractive to guests as the pirate craze continues and new Piratesof the Caribbean movies open. As you are entering the ride, be

sure to note that there are two lines: guests tend to follow the folksin front of them, so one of the lines often has fewer peopleentering it - choose that line!

Disney twisted things up when they created a movie - The Pirates

of the Caribbean - based on the popular Disney ride, as opposedto creating a ride to go along with a popular movie.

The queue has some interest, and is a cool respite from the heat.

ECV guests must transfer to a wheelchair, and then must transferfrom the wheelchair to the ride.

FUN FactsCheck out the pirates playing chess in the queue of Pirates of theCaribbean - they are at a stalemate. They literally died playingchess (Note: You must choose the right line of the queue to see thetwo pirates.)

125 Audio-Animatronics figures are used in the Pirates of theCaribbean - 65 are pirates and villages, and 60 are animals.

    Hidden Mickeys

As you are standing in line for one of the most popular rides in MagicKingdom, be on the lookout for these Hidden Mickeys. If you findyourself in the left side of the queue, watch for the gun cases - manyare locked with Mickey-shaped padlocks.

As your boat approaches the final scene in Pirates, check out thegreen iron lantern that is hanging closest to the boat on the left side. There is a small three-circle classic Mickey formed by the wire loopshanging at the bottom of the lantern.

The Enchanted Tiki Room ShowMagic Kingdom=>Adventureland

    By: -Chupacabras-

The Enchanted Tiki Room underwent another update in August,2011, bringing it back to its origins. The four original birds from thisattraction - Michael, Pierre, Fritz and Jos - are back as themasters of ceremonies. The various other birds, flowers, and tikistatues join together to perform many songs, mixed up withcomedic interaction among the various animatronic birds.

This attraction was updated in 1998. At that time, The Enchanted

Tiki Room got new management, and the attraction was joined byIago from Aladdin and Zazu from the Lion King who served as thehosts of this attraction. Now they've been let go, delighting manypurists who missed the original attraction.

The Enchanted Tiki Room was among the first attractions in theentire World to use animatronic characters.

Since you are sitting in an air conditioned room, this is a greatattraction in which to escape the heat. Waits are seldom long.

There are some very loud, booming portions of the show, as wellas flickering lights and lightening. This show can scare somechildren.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin RideMagic Kingdom=>Adventureland

    By: osseous

Just like Aladdin and Jasmine, you get to go on a magic carpet rideover Agrabah. This ride is similar to Dumbo, in that it loads all atonce, and then the riders fly several cycles before the rugs arelowered and reloaded for another trip.

Up to four people - two in front, two in back - are loaded onto eachcarpet. The seats in the front control the up-down movement of

the carpet; you should sit in back if you want to control theforward-backward movement.

Keep your eyes open, watching for the camel who occasionallyspits on the carpets as they fly by. Luckily, even if he gets you,you aren't likely to get very wet. There is a second camel thatfaces out, and shoots guests as they walk by.

This attraction is appropriate for people of all ages.

Sometimes Aladdin, Jasmine and/or the Genie may be nearby -keep your eyes out for photos!

    "it's a small world" RideMagic Kingdom=>Fantasyland

    By: Harshlight

This is one of the iconic rides that represents the Magic Kingdomand Fantasyland. The song is popular world-wide, and for some, isimpossible to get out of your head! Filled with the smallanimatronic dolls that dance and sing, "It's a small world afterall...", this attraction is filled with greetings from every continent inthe world. The dolls represent more than 100 countries throughoutthe world.

    Hand-held captioning is available.

Guests must transfer from wheelchairs and ECVs to the ride.

FUN Facts"it's a small world" in Walt Disney World holds 500,000 gallons ofwater.

"it's a small world" was created for the 1964 New York World's Fair.Goodbye is written in 22 different languages at the exit of "it's a smallworld."

Originally, Imagineers wanted all the dolls in "it's a small world" to singthe national anthem from their own native country; however, you canimagine how difficult it might be to hear all the different songs. So, it

was determined that one song, sang consistently throughout would bemore cohesive.

In all of "it's a small world", there is only the name of one countryactually inside the ride. You can find Mexico on a hat in the South

    America section of the excursion.

Hidden MickeysThis Hidden Mickey is not at all obvious - until you know where it is!Take a look at the two towers where the ride operators sit. These arethe ears of the Mickey. The head is formed by the captain's tower.

Dumbo The Flying Elephant RideMagic Kingdom=>Fantasyland

    By: Chuck Kramer

One of the most popular rides in Fantasyland, everyone loves themagic of climbing into a flying elephant and soaring through thesky. This one-and-a-half-minute ride will delight most children -especially since they can control the up and down motion of theelephant with a small knob as they fly. The ride also offers somewonderful views of Fantasyland, from up high.

Lines here can be quite long. If you intend to ride this attraction,do it first thing in the morning; at park's opening, wait times canactually be quite minimal. In the Fantasyland expansion, scheduled to be completed at the end of 2013, a second Dumboride will be added, shortening the wait time and increasing thenumber of people that can ride at one time. After the expansion, there will also be an interactive queue.

The attraction is open during both AM and PM Extra Magic Hours. This ride does not tend to be one of the first chosen during AMExtra Magic Hours, so if your family is determined to ride thisattraction, this might be the best time.
