FUNABILITIES is a program for children and youth with any type of disability between the ages of 6 and 22 years. FUNABILITIES promotes fun through recreational and leisure activities, and integration into the community. Through interaction with program participants, the youth develop
friendships, independence, personal growth, and maturity.

Saturday Program School age children: 6 -22 years 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month September to June Payment options: annual fee ($150) or drop-in fee ($15)

FunAbilities programming and activities vary from month to month based on what is appropriate for the age group and the interests of the participants.

Programming/activity examples: Arts and crafts Baking Outdoor play Movies Treasure hunts Planting flowers Bowling Animal visits….etc.
Summer Fun
As with FunAbilities, Summer Fun programming and activities vary from year to year based on what is appropriate for the age group, interest of participants, and what is happening in the community. Summer Fun programming is often theme-based; variations on a theme that runs throughout the summer (i.e. Disney movies, Trip Around the World).

opportunity to take part in a variety of recreational activities within the community
To promote integration of children and youth with disabilities into the community’s leisure activities
To create opportunities to develop new friendships and social skills through interaction with peer groups

To motivate program participants to explore and become involved in various community activities once the program has been completed
To create a supportive environment that fosters independence, self-determination, personal growth and maturity for children and youth with disabilities
To provide respite for families
