Stitch n Turn Minkee® Instructions

Supplies:2 5” Minkee Blankee ® fabric 10” x 14” PolyMesh Stabilizer 5” square Aqua Film topping 101 Quilt Basting Spray or 505 Temporary Spray Adhesive Isacord thread White Polyester Bobbin thread Embroidery Machine Embroidery Scissors Fun With Minkee® Gelato Pack #12184Polyester StuffingHand Needle

Instructions:1. Hoop 1 layer of PolyMesh stabilizer.

2. Stitch 1st color (placement line). See Photo 1

3. Spray stabilizer with 101 Quilt Basting Spray or 505.

4. Place 5” square of Minkee® right side up onto the PolyMesh, centered on the hoop.

5. Lightly spray a 5” square of Aqua Film topping with temporary spray adhesive. Place the Aqua Film sprayed side down onto the Minkee® fabric.

6. Attach the hoop to the machine and select the Minkee® Stitch n Turn design of your choice to stitch. Embroider all but the last color of the design. See Photo 2

7. Remove the hoop from the machine, but DO NOT remove the fabric from the hoop. 8. Clip all jump threads. Gently tear away excess Aqua Film (Do not wet to remove at this

time).9. Place another square of Minkee® right side down directly over the first piece. If desired,

pin or tape at corner to secure.10. Reattach the hoop to the machine and stitch the final color change (through both layers of

fabric).11. Remove the hoop from the machine and the fabric from the hoop.12. Using embroidery scissors, carefully cut out the Minkee®

Stitch n Turn close to the stitching line. Clip curves as needed.

13. Cut a slit approximately 1 ½” long in the back (non-embroidered side). See Photo 3

14. Turn the design right side out. Use a chopstick to turn out corners and curves. See Photo 4

15. Stuff as desired with polyester stuffing. See Photo 5 Slip stitch the slit closed.

Minkee® Appliqué Instructions

Supplies:Minkee Blankee ® fabric for appliquéStabilizer according to the fabric you are placing the appliqué on

o Use a cut away stabilizer for knit or loosely woven fabricso Use a tear away stabilizer for firmly woven fabrics if you wish to remove the

excess stabilizer from the back of the project5” square Aqua Film topping 101 Quilt Basting Spray or 505 Temporary Spray Adhesive Isacord thread White Polyester Bobbin thread Embroidery Machine Embroidery Scissors Fun With Minkee® Gelato Pack #12184 with paper templates Project or fabric to appliqué on

Instructions:1. Using the paper template for the desired appliqué design, spray lightly the wrong side of the paper with 101 Quilt Basting Spray or 505 and adhere to the right side of the Minkee square. See Photo 1

2. Carefully cut out along the line of the appliqué.

3. Adhere the desired pieces of stabilizer together with 101 Quilt Basting Spray or 505.

4. Spray the stabilizers with 101 Quilt Basting Spray and adhere to the back of fabric.

5. Hoop the layers as one and attach the hoop to the machine.

6. Stitch the first color (called the guide stitch). See Photo 2 Photo 1



7. Place the Minkee appliqué with paper in place by aligning it to the guide stitch sewn in step 6. Remove the paper. See Photo 3

8. Cover the Minkee appliqué with Aqua Film topping and finish stitching the design. See Photo 4

9. Remove the Aqua Film topping.
