HIP HOP Hip Hop is a popular choice at the YMCA! The focus is on body movements coinciding with the beat and rhythm of hip hop or pop music. It improves flexibility, develops balance and assists in coordinating muscles.

JAZZ Classes are an introduction to jazz dance focusing on timing and coordination; forced arch; and use of the plié. Progres-sion of class consists of pas de bourree, jazz walks, turning jazz walks, passé balance, battements and jumps across the floor. A combination of movements will be given at the last section of class for practice and performance.

MODERN Our Modern classes are for students new to dance as well as experienced dancers new to modern dance style.
