Take a ½" horizontal section starting in the back just below the crown and ending at the temple. Begin cutting at the center back and stop just before you reach the ear. Repeat on the other side before moving to the next section. Stop and ensure balance in the line on both sides of the face.

WORKING AROUND THE EARS: Comb the hair over the top of the ear to ensure natural fall. Before cutting, hold the hair in place. Using closed scissors, apply gentle pressure using the spine of the scissors, just above the ear. This will allow the hair to rest properly over the ear. Once in place, bring your scissors down to the cutting line and continue to cut along your guideline.

NOTE: This fringe technique is universal. Customize the shape, length and depth of the fringe to suit your guest.

Begin by finding the natural parting in the hair. Then take a vertical section through the center back, dividing the head in two equal halves.

Paloma- STEP 1

Starting at the nape, subdivide two horizontal sections (½" thick). Ensure these sections are even. Then comb the hair down into its natural fall. Use a comb to secure the hair rather than your hands to minimize any tension, elevation and overdirection.

Comb the hair evenly and keep your comb parallel with the section, stopping just above the desired cutting line. Always working from the center outward, begin cutting an even line that mirrors both the section and your comb. Once the first section is established, check for visual balance. Ensure the line is even from side to side, and remove any unwanted graduation.

Continue working up the head taking horizontal sections, keeping your comb parallel with the angle of the section until you connect the uncut section with your guideline. Stop once your section reaches the top of the ear (just above the occipital). Assess your shape for symmetry.

Continue taking horizontal sections up to the natural parting, working in the same manner as Step 5. Remember to check the balance from section to section and place tension over the top of the ear as you work up the head.

When the hair cut is complete, wrap-dry the hair with a slight bevel on the ends using a Denman brush. This will minimize volume and maximize straightness. Follow with flat iron if needed. The flat iron should only be used to enhance the blow dry.

When the hair is completely dry, comb the hair straight down and check the line for any unwanted graduation. Remove any graduation without placing tension on the hair. Repeat throughout the perimeter until complete.

Starting at the temple area on both sides, take a triangular section through the front hairline. Repeat drying procedure from Step 7.

Subdivide a horizontal section through the front hairline. Start cutting in the center of the forehead, treating the section like two halves.

Cut a curved line that is slightly shorter at the temple. Repeat on the other side. Continue until panel is complete and fringe is even on both sides.
