Test fit of 7H1-2, Stab Full Rib. Rib is
positioned with flanges pointing outboard with web of spar adjacent to and in contact with the ends of the doublers.

rib’s rear flange was sighted
through this hole, drilled #40 bit, and clecoed. This hole is used as a pivot to square the rib against the spar.

top.

the top hole drilled and
clecoed as a pivot.

After squaring the rib against the spar, the
bottom hole was drilled and clecoed,
and then the in-between holes were
drilled.
Note that the view here is from aft, with top of assembly to
top.
This same procedure was used to locate and drill the holes for the
other full rib at the other end of
the doublers.

Rudder: - Assembled, in storage- Forward spar drilled for ribs and rivets- Lower doubler drilled for rivets- Upper doubler drilled for rivets- Front horizontal stab attach brackets made- Locate and drill two rear ribs for attachment to spar- Locate and drill nose rib for attachment to spar- Make end rib attach brackets- Locate and drill end rib attach brackets- Locate and drill horizontal stab front mounts- Finish drilling holes in end brackets for forward stab- Locate and drill upper and lower doublers to rear spar- Locate and drill rear ribs to rear spar
Tail: - Locate and drill full ribs to rear spar
Tail: - Trim forward spar end brackets to match curve of full rib at meeting point
