“Device List” shows what reports are available in each of the devices.

Billing counter report, Function usage report and Service report are available for this device.

Why are some reports not available? It might be due to1. The reporting cycle has not been reached. (E.g., function usage report is available about two

months after EP activation)2. The device model does not have the capability. (E.g., ApeosPort II C4300 does not provide paper

consumption report)3. The device firmware needs to upgraded. (E.g., DocuCentreC2260 IV, firmware version must be

equal or higher than 1.120.44, to create Energy report)

Latest reports are not available for the devices.Pink Failed to receive last monthly usage counters. Need to check EP-BB non- communication. Gray EP-BB contract is terminated.

Each ✔ is a link to view respective device report.

Convenient Functions on Device ListNickname

A “nickname” can be defined for each device in order to identify it easily. This is recommended when managing many devices.

Type Nickname “Print Room” and Save.

Nickname is updated.

Search Device Using Nickname

Nickname is an identifier.

Only model names and serial numbers are identified.

Hard to find a device on device selection.

Click “Edit” to edit this device.

Easy to find a device on “Device” selection with the nickname shown in front of model name.

Category 1 and Category 2

Define “Category 1” and “Category 2” for each device in order to view reports based on selected Category. This is recommended when managing many devices.

Category 1 & Category 2 can be defined based on the company environment or setting,

Category 1 : User defined (Eg: By Department, Floor or Location)Category 2 : User defined (Eg: By Department, Floor or Location)

Choose from pull down menu if preferred category has been created.

Type “Sales” in Category 2 if category has not been created yet.

Generating Report Based on Category

Define “Category 1” and“Category 2” for each device.

Choose “All” devices (Default) and press “Search” to view report of all devices under the account.

Choose a device from the Device pull down list and press “Search” to view report of a single device.

Choose “Sales” on Category 2 and press “Search” to view report of devices which belong to the Sales department.

Choose “Tampines” on Category 1, “Sales” on Category 2 and press “Search” to view report of devices which belong to the “Sales” department in “Tampines”.

D Billing Counter Report

i. Daily meter reading and past month(s) archived meter readingii. Last billed meter reading

Note:1 In some countries, billing counter report is available when meter readings are collected manually.

2 In some countries, meter reading is for reference only.

Once EP-BB service is activated, the first report becomes available on the 10th of the month following the monthly closing. The “Latest” counter shows meter readings of the previous day.

“Printed Total” is the sum of “Copy”, “Print” and “Fax Received”. “All Function Total” is the sum of “Printed Total”, “Fax Sent” and “Scan”.

Select the month for Detail Report.

Paper size information may not be available for some models. (Refer to “Device List” to check report availability.)

F Paper Consumption Report

Count of paper used and total paper saved by paper saving modes.• Incrementby1when

printing 1 sheet with duplex function

* Last odd page is not counted.• Incrementby1when

printing 1 sheet with multiple up function

**4up/8up counts as 1.

•“TotalSheetsSaved”isthesum of “Sheets saved by duplex” and “Sheets saved by multiple up”.

• “EstimatedTotalPage”isthe sum of “Total Sheets Used” and “Total Sheets Saved”.

Note: No adjustment made for large size (A3) print in this report section. To calculate CO2 equivalent, all sheets are treated as A4 size.

Conversion factors are available here. In this report, “Carbon Equivalent” from “Sheets Used” is calculated as 36,371 (pages) x 0.005 (kg) = 181.87 kg.

The number of “evergreen trees” to absorb Carbon emission is, 181.87 (kg) / 1.17 (kg) per tree = 155.4 (trees).

“Potential Sheets Saved” is the total of “Paperless Fax received not printed”, “Direct Fax” and “Scan”. All are assumed to save 1 sheet for every page faxed or scanned.

The number of trees to absorb the amount of CO2 emitted

• “ActualTotalSheetsSaved”is sheet saved via paper saving modes (e.g. Duplex, Multiple up).

• “PotentialTotalSheetssaved” is paper sheet saved via FX MFD Green function (e.g. Paperless Fax received and sent, scan).

Conversion factors are available here. In this report, “Carbon Equivalent” from “Energy Consumption” is calculated as 179.84 (kWh) x 0.457 (kg) = 90.76 kg.

The number of “evergreen trees” to absorb Carbon emission is, 90.76 (kg) / 1.17 (kg) per tree = 77.6 (trees).

Power consumption is the highest during warming up the MFD, and the lowest during sleep mode. The transition time from the end of printing to “energy save mode” can be changed in the Non Volatile Memory (NVM) setting.

Illustration of power consumption calculation

MFD IOT (Image Output Terminal) has six operation modes below, and its controller has counters to record operating time of each mode. By multiplying counter time value by each mode factor, power consumption of each mode is obtained.

Mode Definition

① Printing Run② Warm up Awake form ④ / ⑤ to ③

③ Stand by Ready to print④ Low power Energy Save Mode (1)⑤ Sleep Energy Save Mode (2)⑥ Power Off Main Power Off

– Scanning IIT running

IOT - 6 different modes

The total power consumption is calculated by summing up the power consumption of each IOT mode and the IIT.
